    In English, it is a rice terrace. In Japan, terraced paddy fields have been


    developed in hilly and mountainous areas since early times. – Through the four
    seasons, you can enjoy the beautiful and Typical Japanese landscapes of the
    Tanada.

    What’s ONIBI-TAKI (Fire festival)?

    It is the New Year event in the countryside.

    People gather New Year's ornaments of the neighborhood in order to burn them in
    a big Onibi(鬼火焚き) bonfire.

    It is believed that deities of the new year are supposed to go home with the smoke
    of this fire.
