1.1 Scope
ZXSDR B8200 GU360 is an indoor GSM/UMTS dual-mode baseband resource pool
developed by ZTE Corporation. It, together with multiple types of RF units , forms a
complete BTS/Node B to achieve the functions of GSM single mode, UMTS single mode,
and GSM/UMTS dual mode. It provides radio transmission for its coverage area, controls
wireless channels, and performs communications of BSC/RNC.
This manual describes the shelves, boards, modules, cables and auxiliary devices of
ZXSDR B8200 GU360 to facilitate users to know its hardware structure.

Cabinet Weight
The ZXSDR B8200 GU360 cabinet weight is not more than 8.75 kg.
Caution!
At least 40 mm is available to the air inlet and outlet at both sides of ZXSDR B8200 GU360,
to realize easy ventilation and heat dissipation.
A device, on the right of ZXSDR B8200 GU360, that dissipates hot air from the right to
left is not allowed. Otherwise, ZXSDR B8200 GU360 should not be installed as keeping
abreast of the device horizontally.

For variants of each module, refer to this section. According to product development and
market demands, each board/module may fall into much more variants.
3-1
The boards information described in this section does not include the indicators whose
status is controlled by software. The status of the indicators may vary from different
software versions.
For the information about the indicators on each board, refer to the Appendix A of this
manual.
According to the MicroTCA standard, the height of ZXSDR B8200 GU360 boards falls into
two types: full height (double modules) and half height (single module). The description

Jumpers
In ZXSDR B8200 GU360, jumpers are located on the SA/SE board. The jumper setting
on the SA board is consistent with that on the SE board.
Note:
When the jumper cap is removed, it means 0 (OFF). When the jumper cap is inserted, it
means 1 (ON).
With SA/SE jumpers, the operator can configure the transmission mode over the
uplink/downlink E1, uplink/downlink T1, and the BDS_ID cascaded connection. The
jumpers on a SA/SE board are shown in Figure 3-22.
3-16
Caps for MODE_ABIS and BDS_ID jumpers on the SA/SE board should be inserted, and
the setting principle of these two jumpers is shown as follows:
l The MODE_ABIS is used to set uplink/downlink long-line/short-line mode and E1/T1
mode.
For ZXSDR B8200 GU360, merely short-line mode can be configured. Therefore, do
not insert jumper caps to the two MSB positions at MODE_ABIS (MODE_ABIS<3,2>).
The two LSB positions of MODE_ABIS (MODE_ABIS<1,0>) are used to set E1/T1
mode. For details, please refer to Jumper Setting Description of Table 3-13.
l The BDS_ID jumper is usually set to 000. It is set to other values in cascaded
connections.
The SA/SE jumper setting is described in Table 3-13.
