Do not look into an optical port without eye protection.
High temperature
If the ambient temperature reaches 55°C, the surface temperature of an RTN 320 may exceed 70°C.
Therefore, wear protective gloves when handling the RTN 320. A high-temperature warning label ( ) is
attached to each RTN 320.

generate electric arc or sparks, which may cause fire or eye injury. If a service port is not in use, remove the cable from it and plug it with a waterproof block.
• Connect the power cables correctly to the positive and negative terminals of the power supply device (see circled
No.1 in the figure below). To prevent damage to power cables or devices caused by short-circuits, install a circuit
breaker on the negative terminal of the power supply device (see circled No.2 in the figure below). The
recommended fuse capacity is 10 A to 16 A.
• Do not connect the RTN 320 to an AC power supply device. Otherwise, the RTN 320 may be damaged.
• Do not connect the RTN 320 to a DC power supply device providing power beyond the range of –38.4 V to –57.6
V. Otherwise, the RTN 320 may be damaged.

Installation Precautions
•Reserve at least 30 cm space on the side of the RTN 320 so that the maintenance compartment can be opened. The RTN 320 can be installed on either side of a hybrid coupler or OMT. You can install the RTN 320 on the right or
left side based on installation space requirements.
R = 30 cm

Installation Precautions
How to handle the issue that the maintenance compartment cannot be opened due to the support bar
After installing the RTN 320, check whether the maintenance compartment can be opened. If it cannot be opened due to the support bar, adjust the installation position or angle of the support bar.
3. Adjust the installation angle of the support bar so that the maintenance compartment can be removed.
1. Adjust the installation angle of the support bar to ensure that the maintenance compartment can be opened.
4. Install a fixing bar for the support bar so that the angle of the support bar can be adjusted to the greatest extent.
Then, the maintenance compartment can be opened, and the antenna's wind resistant capability is maximized.

Appendix
•Before powering on the RTN 320, ensure that the DC power cable has been installed.
•You are familiar with the safety precautions for DC power supply.
•Power on the equipment within 24 hours of unpacking.
•During maintenance, the power-off time of the equipment must not be longer than 24 hours.
•Do not connect the RTN 320 to an AC power supply device. Otherwise, the RTN 320 may be damaged.
•Do not connect the RTN 320 to a DC power supply device providing power beyond the range of –38.4 V to –57.6
V. Otherwise, the RTN 320 may be damaged.
•If the PI is used to output DC power, the DIP switching for setting the power output mode should be set correctly
so that the DC OUT mode is selected. After setting the DIP switch, switch off the power supply. After waiting for 6
seconds, switch on the power supply again.

Loading NE Data by Using the Web LCT
•The RTN 320 can connect to the Web LCT through its NMS/GE2(e) port using
a network cable or communicate with the Web LCT through its WLAN module.
•RTN 320 provides two NMS ports. One is the NMS/GE2(e) port, and
the other is the NMS port that is on a side of the maintenance compartment.
The two ports have the same pin assignments and functions. The NMS/GE2(e)
port is preferred for easy cable routing.
