The composer prompts the news item and news production process starts. One printed copy is
provided to anchor and other is provided to production room. Then producer check the news and
call anchor to sit in studio for news recording. The producer is connected with the anchor
through mic and give instructions. The producer intimate anchor to get ready through mic and it
is a sign for anchor that news recording has started and anchor starts reading out news. The
producer through device called console adjust the audio. Various devices are attached to the
console such as anchor mic headphone, telephone line for beeper or call in between news.
The management gave me assignment to record and produce news after one week of training in
the production department. I followed the same steps which was taught by producer Faisal javed.
It went well and got appreciation from my mentor, I noted all my mistake which was highlighted
by producer and tried to rectify them.

Script writing
Another task assigned to me was to assist script writer for writing script. It was lengthy process
and our topic was to write script on Gurdwaradarbar sahib kartarpur. My job was to collect all
information about topic then script writer wrote the script of above mentioned topic and taught
us points to be consider while writing script.
Don’t write your radio script as if you’re reading it, write it down like it is going to be
spoken out loud
Use your words to paint pictures
Keep your script concise
During my internship tenure I learned a lot of things. I was able to produce news and worked as
internee producer for a very short span. I followed the same steps which was taught by my
