Corona virus instructions for the personnel


Issued: March 16, 2020

Travel
According to The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) the risk of coronavirus
infection has increased throughout Europe and around the world. Travelling is not
recommended in this situation and every need to travel is always discussed with the
manager.
In case the travel cannot be avoided, approval to travel is required both by the
sending organization and by the receiving organization in advance.
Traveling to other countries should be avoided, if possible. Suggest to customers
or other partners having meetings via telephone or video conference. If this is not
possible, follow the country specific travel instructions.

If you are put on quarantine by authorities, and you are not sick, you can work remote. In
that case salary and daily allowance payment continues. If you get sick, you are on sick-
leave.
Follow good sanitary practices. You may buy hand sanitizer and claim the cost back in
your travel expense report.
It is recommended to postpone all global ANDRITZ meetings or change to digital
meetings.

Return from a trip


If you return from abroad, it is recommended to to work remote for 14 days (provided
that your position and tasks allow it). This applies to both private and business trips. If
one of your family members or a person with whom you are in close contact, returns
from abroad, you are also recommended to work remotely for 14 days. Working
remotely must always been agreed on with the manager.
Stay home if you have mild symptoms and seek medical help only if your
symptoms are severe.
If you have mild respiratory tract infection symptoms, such as rhinitis, cough,
throat pain, muscle pain, or fever, stay at home to rest and recuperate. Do
not come to work, stay home and avoid contact with others until the
symptoms go away.
Call your manager by phone immediately to inform about the absence
Contact your healthcare provider only if you experience severe symptoms
such as shortness of breath or if your overall condition gets worse. In that
case, contact your healthcare provider by phone to prevent spreading the
disease to others.
You are allowed to stay at home due to sickness with your own notice max. 5
days

Working at the office or workshop

Internal meetings must be held via telephone conference using skype or Teams etc.
whenever possible. Also bilateral meetings should preferably be done by phone or skype.
Follow good sanitary practices, there is hand sanitizer available at all our offices. More

Avoid handshaking and other close contacts. The recommended distance is 1.5m.
At lunch avoid rush peaks and drink your coffee by your own desk.
If there is suspicion that your colleagues may have becomed infected by COVID-19, you
should inform the superior or HR.

Visits
The same instructions apply to our guests at our premises, i.e. we recommend to
minimize the number of guests entering our premises. It is always necessary to consider
the importance of the visit.
The host is always responsible for instructing the visitors and ensuring that we all act
according to the latest, valid instructions.
Our customers have sent us instructions for visits at their premises. We shall comply with
those.
We always follow the most stringent instructions, e.g. a former trip to any country
can according to the instructions refuse a person the entry to customer
premises.

So far no-one is infected by COVID-19 virus at ANDRITZ Finland. We appreciate that our personnel
will act in a responsible and matter-of-fact way concerning this matter also outside office hours.
