V.A. PIANO MUSIC LEARNING STUDIO
HISTORY
V.A. Piano Services has been providing clients with professional instrument care
needs since 1995. The company has years of experience, making them one of the
most trusted piano service providers around. V.A. Piano started in 1995, when
Mr. Vicente Arias, the owner of V.A. Piano Services, resigned on 1994 from the big
piano company name WEINSTEIN. After almost 10 years of working experience,
he learned different ways, procedure and techniques on how to assemble and
repair piano. He started as a helper in the company with the help of some
acquaintances. His knowledge in work become wider, K-D Operator, metal frame
painting, stramback assembly, string attach and royal service department are
some of work experience he encounter.

In the year 1997, he worked in LYRIC company for six months which gave him the
opportunity to apply the skill he learned. The company gave him a chance to
widen his knowledge and skills. The ability that comes from his experience
becomes a skill which brought to his mind to start his own REPAIR SHOP.

V. A. Piano Services provides service within Metro Manila and CALABARZON.
As the year goes, they decided to have a music learning studio and now currently
located at Zabarte, Novaliches Quezon City.
VISION
The V.A. Piano Music Learning Studio strives to transform traditional academic
and conservatory instruction and performance into an environment that contains
innovative research and technology with the art of music. The studio aspires to
create interdisciplinary academic programs integrating self expression, scientific
knowledge, and technical expertise, enriching the intellectual and cultural life of
the campus, community, and profession.
MISSION
The school of music will provide the highest level of education in music; facilitate
research in music technology and offers technology-rich performance activities.
Embracing its co-curricular role. The Department will serve the students
throughout the institute promoting a variety of performance opportunities,
offering innovative courses. Faculty will contribute to regional, national and
international constituencies through excellence in teaching, research and service
while creatively blending traditional with the technical.
V.A. Piano believes that music plays an important role to our lives especially to
the young generation today. Studies show that learning music at an early age can
help increase in the language, social and mental development of a child and it is
multi-beneficial towards academic achievement. As for the ages, from beginner to
advance level, V.A. Piano delivers a gratifying, wide array and exciting music and
cultural art learning experience to become part of their lives and to bring out the
“virtuoso” in their own way.
FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICE

Children develop musical skills and appreciation as they interact in the music
center. While participating in music activities, children are also enhancing
physical, language, social-emotional, and cognitive development. In today’s world
of high-stakes tests, many are using music’s enhancement of cognitive
development as a rationale for including music in the curriculum.
Even without adult intervention, children are natural, instinctive music makers.
However, when we expose children to music through singing and playing
instruments, they become more proficient and develop musical skills earlier
When young children listen repeatedly to a style of music, they learn to prefer
that music and these preferences become lifelong. It is important, therefore, to
expose children to music that broadens their repertoire. Learning to appreciate
music from another culture or time period can also open the door to further
interest and learning.
The V.A. Piano functions as the stepping stone to the young generation learn the
art of music. It helps the student bring out their talents in music.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

It was April 13, 2015 when I started working in V.A. PIANO MUSIC LEARNING
STUDIO as a Teacher and an Office staff (encoder). Before I was introduced to my
designated department, the secretary oriented me about the company rules and
regulations. They also introduced me to other teachers who are there that day.
To start with my work, Ms. Jennielyn Arias, Secretary of V.A.Piano, assigned me at

their studio located at the Zabarte, Novaliches, Quezon City. I was excited to start
my work with the co-teachers teaching music.
I also met one of the teachers, Ma’am Grace who teaches piano playing. She was
so kind and generous.
The first job assigned to me was to review those pricelist for those courses and
also I encoded Students profiles.
In my On-the-job-training at V.A. Music Learning Studio, I was assigned to encode

the student profiles enrolling to the school. Sometimes I also teaches music when
some teachers unable to go with their schedules.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS BASED ON DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The V.A PIANO MUSIC LEARNING STUDIO accomplished many lessons and
sessions from their business. They are planning to have a recital for the students
enrolled and finished their music lessons there this coming June 2015.
OBSERVATION ON THE COMPANY
Environment
The environment is a very good place to work on. They have air-conditioned
classrooms, enough facilities like chairs, desks etc., It is a well ventilated room and
a very clean place.
Employees’ Attitude towards Job

According to my observations, It is Very nice to know that everyone in the office
likes to do their job. I also observed some problems they encounter like parent-
teacher arguments regarding with the schedule because sometimes the teacher
not able to go with their scheduled lesson due to some reasons.
Treatment to you
I was very pleased because they treat me like I was part of them. They always
greet me every time I go to the office. They are very good to me and always teach
me for everything I have to know about.
Gained Knowledge and Experiences
My brief stay with V.A. Piano Music Learning Studio has taught me a lot of
lessons. I have experienced to deal with different persons, professionals, technical
and even to other people including the students and their parents.
Through observation in the actual work, I will become more competitive and
efficient when I get a job in the future. The practicum also provides me some
important insights on the world of Music Teaching and as an office encoder.
Although the work is not that complicated to do, I learned that as an encoder,
you must always be on time in your work because I am the one who encodes the
student and teacher profiles. I experienced that my supervisor got angry when I
go to the office late a few minutes. That is also one of my unforgettable memories
there. Another unforgettable memory is when one of the teachers working there
treats us with a large bucket meal from Jollibee. We eat a lot and they tell stories
to me about their work experiences there.
