Preface
Introduction
The service manual describes hardware composing, installation, dismantling, testing and fault resolution of
product and its accessories to help maintenance personnel to effectively deal with FAQ. The service manual
doesn’t introduce the product structure and design principles. If there is still some problem unable to be fixed,
please contact our service department.
The service manual introduces the product with all the configurations, so that some part of the content may not
apply to your product. If you have any questions, please contact our service department.
Please read this manual and ensure completely understanding it before repair to guarantee repair and maintenance
in a right way and avoid causing product damage or personal injury.
This manual applies to professional biological engineer, authorized maintenance personnel or after–sales service
representatives who are responsible for the maintenance of this product.
Service information
(1) Requirements: Please observe the following requirements.
(1.1) Only consult the customer service center of our company for after-sales service of the instrument.
(1.2) Damage of the instrument caused by unauthorized maintenance is not within the scope of guarantee for
repair.
(1.3) Conduct regular maintenance to the monitor according to the preset plan; otherwise, the instrument will have
troubles, or even cause damage.
(1.4) During the lifespan of the instrument, regular maintenance is one of the necessary measures to ensure the
normal use of the monitor.
(2) Identification of the instrument: Each of the monitors produced by our company is attached with a unique
production serial number for identification and after-sales service.
(3) Consultation by phone

Safety
Safety Information
Warning:
Explosion hazard: Do not use the monitor in the presence of flammable anesthetics mixture with air,
oxygen, or hydrogen.
When the monitor is in use, there should not be any great power appliances as high voltage cables,
X-ray machine, ultrasound equipment and electrizer in use nearby.
Keep the monitor away from dust, vibration, corrosive substances, explosive materials, high
temperature and moisture.
The monitor is not designed for the sterilized room.
The monitor should be handled with care so as to avoid shocks and falls.
Warning:
Do not use this device during defibrillation.
When the monitor is in use, it must be ensured the batteries have sufficient capacity; otherwise there
might be such phenomena as starting-up abnormalities or inaccurate measurement data, etc.
Do not conduct SpO2 measurement on the finger smeared with nail polish; otherwise this will lead to
unreliable measurement results.
Measurements and pulse signals can be affected by certain environmental conditions, sensor
application errors, and certain patient conditions. See the appropriate sections of this manual for
specific safety information.
The use of accessories, sensors, and cables other than those specified may result in increased emission,
low anti-disturbance and/or create invalid readings of the monitor. It is advised to check it at least
once a month.
Caution: In order to have more accurate measurements results, the monitor should be used in quiet
and comfortable environment.

Accessories
For M860 handheld monitor, it’s compatible with different types SpO2 sensors and NIBP
cuffs, including Adult / Pediatric / Neonatal reusable or disposable SpO2 sensor; and
Adult/Pediatric/ Neonatal cuff.

Testing
a. Press the switch button, and test if the equipment starts normally.
b. Connect the unit to the power adapter, and test if the charging signal light is on or not.
SpO2 testing
a. Connect the SpO2 probe to the fingers of normal person and the SpO2 socket of the monitor;
b. Check whether if there are SpO2 waveforms and whether the waveforms are normal;
c. Verify whether the parameter value in the SpO2 parameter zone is between 96-99% and whether the Pulse
reading is between 50-120;
d. Unplug the SpO2 probe and the SpO2 testing is completed.
NIBP testing
a. Confirmed the cuff has been entirely deflated.
b. Tie the cuff to the upper arm or thigh of the normal person and connect the NIBP socket to the monitor, then
press the NIBP button to start measurement.
c. Verify whether the parameter value in the NIBP parameter zone.
d. Unplug the NIBP socket and the NIBP testing is completed.
a. Press the turn-on button; observe whether the alarm lamb sparkles by red and yellow once as well as the speaker
sounds “Do” once.
b. Turn off the equipment; observe whether the alarm lamb sparkles by red once as well as the speaker sounds
“Do” once
c. Alarm lamb and speaker testing is complete.

Introduction
Keep your equipment and accessories free of dust and dirt. To avoid damage to the equipment, follow
these rules:
1. Always dilute according the manufacturer’s instructions or use lowest possible concentration.
5. Never use abrasive materials (such as steel wool or silver polish), or erosive cleaners (such as acetone or
acetone-based cleaners).
Warning: Be sure to shut down the system and disconnect all power cables from the outlets before
cleaning the equipment.
Warning: For optimal performance, product service should be performed only by qualified service
personnel.
Caution: If you spill liquid onto the equipment or accessories, contact your service personnel or us.

Disposal
Dispose of the monitor in accordance with local environment and waste disposal laws and regulations. For the
disposal of SpO2 sensor and NIBP cuff, follow local regulations regarding disposal of hospital waste.

Trouble shooting
In case the users or engineers of hospital have handled the instrument according to the following methods and
still unable to have the trouble fixed on they own, please timely notify company or agent and our professional
technicians will cater to your service.
Fault Resolution
1) SpO2 could not be determined
a. Check whether the LED in the SpO2 probe is twinkling with red light, if the LED is dark, SpO2 probe is out
of order, needs to be changed;
b. SpO2 sensor connection problem——Re-plug SpO2 probe
c. SpO2 communication interface break down——Change communication interface
d. SpO2 module break down——Replace the SpO2 module
2) NIBP malfunction
a. NIBP Air Leak or Loose Cuff——An internal valve, air hose, or the cuff is leaking air, check it and
replace. The cuff is not wrapped properly around the patient’s limb.
b. NIBP Cuff Type Error——The cuff type or the patient type is wrong.

Tool: cross screw driver
Procedure:
1. Remove the screw and open the unit;
2. Unplug the cables, and then Remove the screw and then take out the SpO2 module;

main board;
