This standard wiring diagram applies for different types of voltages, engines, auxiliaries, etc. and is based on the After the panel has been moved, all screw joints have to be checked and tightened, if necessary.
maximum configuration of the default panel. At least every part of this wiring diagram marked by the exclamation mark
shown in illustration 1 has to be checked before manufacturing. The special project requirements can be found in the The settings of CBs, time relays, monitors and protection devices have to be checked.
technical specification, electrical control guide, measuring-, and consumer lists and have to be adapted by the
E-Supplier. In spite of the greatest care MAN Diesel & Turbo does not assume any liability or guarantee for the A phase-sequence test for determining the appropriate connection of the phases has to be performed for all incoming
completeness or quality of the provided wiring diagram or the fulfillment of the functional scope for the appropriate three-phase voltages.
panel.
The eyebolts and/or combination angles used for transportation have to be replaced by the supplied roof fastening
screws (Rittal PS 4198.000).
During installation:
Every cable requires a permanent label with the entire identification tag on both ends.
All parts that could be live, although the panel voltages have been switched off (e. g. by external voltage), have to be
marked accordingly.
Every device (or terminal strip) must bear, legibly and indelibly, a label with the entire device tag itself, as well as on the
mounting plate or the panel door, respectively. The same applies to terminals, they have to be marked unique and
distinctive.
Installation material such as cable ducts, copper rails, mounting parts, etc. is part of the E-Supplier's delivery scope and
not mentioned in the parts list.
For mounting of cable ducts only non-metal and non-conductive screws or bolts are permissible. The maximum filling
range of the ducts is 80%. The electrical lines for drives and sensors have to be separated, as well as internal and
external cables or wires. Wire ends have to be equipped with appropriate ferrules, except of wires that are connected to
cage clamp terminals.
Every analog signal cable has to be shielded. The shielding for each signal pair has to be connected to an insulated
shield terminal and to be earthed at the signal processing end. The wiring has to be performed in accordance to the
Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations (EMC).
When positioning the mounting plate and using spacer bolts for the cable clamp rail a linear routing of the cables has to
be ensured. The cables have to be inserted from the bottom of the panel and firmly mounted by retainer brackets.
Each mechanical part of the Panel (side walls, back wall, roof, bottom plates, etc.) shall be earthed in a star-shaped
form, even if there's no electrical equipment installed. The number of necessary Earthing Straps can be found in the
Earthing Connections Overview.
Earthing bolts have to be fixed with locking washers for the bolt itself and the nut. A permanent electrical connection to
the mounting plate has to be ensured, in case of painted surfaces the paint has to be removed, or contact washers used
instead. Next to the cable lug washers shall be placed to avoid twisting while tightening the screw, an example for

Purpose:
The purpose of this Documentation is to describe the Layout and Wiring of MAN/P3 project specific RAU (Remote Access
Unit). Woodward Power Solutions has check the Project Requirements and adapt this Documentation to the Plant
Configuration and it is valid for this Project.
Current Path
Properties: This
Documentation contains the Electrical Schematic Circuit Diagrams (coll. Wiring Diagrams) of the MAN/P3 project specific
RAU according to EN 40719-2. The acquisition and configuration of the hardware conforms to the guidelines for
electrical equipment of machines EN 60204. The EMC Directive is taken into account by using Fiber Optic Cables outside
of the Panels for Bus Connections and the use of shielded Signal Cables whose shield has to be securely earthed at one
end. Inside of the Panel there is a spatial separation intended between power and control devices. Every device is drawn
in de-energized mode, without voltage, pressure, temperature, liquid, or similar. Starting with the basics like revision
history, assembly instructions, purpose, properties, reference documents, labelling/numbering systems and a list of
abbreviations and acronyms this documentation gets followed by a list of the used KKS Location Identification Codes.
Besides the Wiring Diagram there are different types of Construction Layouts integrated, showing the Panel in various
views, as well as drawings of the internal layouts, e. G. Mounting plate assembly. Dimensioned drawings without units
are given in mm, further details, such as Numeric Control data or door cutouts are not part of this Documentation.
Terminal Strip Overview and Terminal Diagram provide details for Terminal set-up and complete the documentation for
manufacturing together with the Parts List. For the apprentice engraving the adhesive Door Labels there is a List of
Labels attached, supplemented by the Type Label. Apart from the default sheet size the labels shall be printed in DIN
A4. The Type Label has to be glued inside of the Panel Door, just like the List of CBs, MCBs and Fuses placed on Page
1000 - it is printed and laminated for this purpose. In order to confirm the specified Protection Degree of the fully
equipped Panel every surface-mounted device is listed in the Verification of Panel Protection Degree. The Power Supply
part is drawn on pages 100 containing the incoming voltages for the Panel Equipment and a UPS-buffered supply
feeding the Power Supply Unit for DC 24V Control Voltage.
The sheet size of the Wiring Diagram is optimized for DIN A3 printing.

The following list indicates the protection degree of the panel door, side wall or the roof-mounted parts/devices.
The protection degree of the panel itself is IP66, as indicated on the attached certificate.
A proper mounting of the Door lever doesn't decrease the Protection Degree.
For this panel a protection degree of, at least, IP54 has been specified. This protection degree is determined
by the device with the lowest protection degree mounted in the door, side walls or roof.
The protection degrees of the installed devices are indicated on the following list and the attached data sheets.
Disclaimer:
The certified protection degree only applies for the delivered panel.
Inappropriate installation or subsequent modification of the panel could affect the protection degree
and therefore releases the manufacturer from its liability
regarding the compliance with the specified protection degree.

The following list indicates the expected current to each installed CB, MCB and fuse,
in order to show that the selected devices are suitable for the connected load.
Another criterion, when selecting the breaking capacity of the devices,
is the cross section of the suggested external cable.
A calculation indicating the results for the suggested individual cables and data sheets for the selected MCBs are attached.
