I. Introduction
The Donggwang Clark Corporation has a Lease Agreement with the Clark Development
Corporation (CDC) to develop a 309-hectare estate bounded by Jose Abad Santos Avenue,
Clark Freeport Zone. Its project, called Donggwang Sunvalley Leisure Community (“DSLC
Project”), is a master planned development that will have facilities for residential, business
center, education, hotel, and recreational facilities.
a. 100 kW Stand-by Generator- a single stack stand-by gen set with a capacity of 100 kW will
be used to supply alternate power for laundry services in case of power interruption
b. 15 hp Steam Boiler- a steam boiler with 15 hp capacity will be used to heat wash water
and also to provide steam for irons and presses.
In addition, to maintain its efficiency (burning of diesel), the equipment will be maintained
and operated properly. No emission testing needed for the gen set and steam boiler
because of their capacity categorized as “small source”.
IV. Status of Air Pollution Installation
The generator set and steam boiler are capable of emitting cleaner air by removing
nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide from diesel
engine emissions.
Operation of the stand-by gen set and steam boiler is expected to consume an average of
10 liters of diesel fuel per month for gen set, depending on the status of power supply in
the area, and 10 liters of diesel fuel for steam boiler.
