PREFACE
This report is the written account of what we learnt experienced during our
training. We wish those going through it will not only find it real brutal so get
useful information.
The project was carried out for understanding the movement of the product at
RELIANCE TRENDS and customer behaviour regarding different product at
RELIANCE TRENDS Gurgaon Branch. RELIANCE TRENDS was
established in the year 2001, they are old player in RETAIL sector.
RELIANCE TRENDS follows values such as–Indianans, Leadership,
Respect and Humility, Valuing and Nurturing Relationships, Simplicity and
Positivity, Adaptability.

INDUSTRY PROFILE
Retail comes from the French word Retailler, which refers to "cutting off, clip and divide" in
terms of tailoring It first was recorded as a noun with the meaning of a "sale in small
quantities" in 1433 (French). Retail is the final stage of any economic activity. By virtue of
this fact, retail occupies an important place in the world economy. According to “Philip
Kotler”, “Retailing includes all the activities involved in selling goods or services to the final
consumers for personal, non-business use.”
