Collab Consulting

Collab Consulting is a software services company specializing in Atlassian JIRA and Confluence. I’m
responsible for
• JIRA add-on development customization, upgrades and end user training for customer projects.
• Maintain and enhance ReportsLite – JIRA Analytics solution.
• Installation and configuration of plugins like Portfolio, Service Desk, and JIRA Agile etc.

Customer Projects implemented with JIRA and Confluence:

Dropbox: Configure, upgrade and improve performance of JIRA. Develop plugins for drop box data
center analytics, create reports. Recommend plugins to be purchased.

Teradata: Merge 2 JIRA systems. Project involves develop strategy for merging data, resolving data
issues, working with different groups to understand their data needs after merge.

TIBCO (USA): Software Release Management plugin: Custom plugin that tracks different aspects of
project like: Bug trending process, Issue tracking per release using custom group option, daily issue
charts by priority.
Tasks involve: Plugin development, upgrade across JIRA releases, customer training, develop custom
fields, performance improvements for plugin, UI design.

Insign (Switzerland): Customize ReportsLite reports to meet their specific needs.


Tasks involve: Adding administration screens in JIRA to allow Insign to control access to custom reports
developed, UI changes.

Intel: SubComponent plugin. JIRA supports only component level. Intel required this concept to extend
to subcomponent level. Developed plugin to implement this concept.

Walmart (USA) - Device Management System (DMS): The Device Management System (DMS) will
provide a tool and a central repository for managing VUDU enabled devices. It will track the device
through its lifecycle, from onboarding a partner, going through integration and certification,
provisioning and other field set-up issues, integration with the external web site, and tying into
customer care.
Tasks involves: Requirements gathering, project planning (agile using Rally), JIRA installation, upgrades,
custom workflow plugin for certification process, JIRA service development for automated notifications,
customize different aspects of screen, user management. Training customer in JIRA plugin development
and help maintain the software across releases of JIRA.
Qualcomm (USA): Confluence upgrade: Upgraded Qualcomm’s Confluence instance 3.4.9 to 4.2.12.
This is a multi-step upgrade process for a huge confluence instance. Integrated with Apache webserver
and did performance optimizations.

Dealer Dominion Solutions (USA): Merging JIRA instances across different organizations in the
company. Dealer Solutions have multiple instances of JIRA running on different versions, this project is to
merge all those instances into a single instance.

Jatrodiesel (USA): Developed service desk & procurement functionality using JIRA.
Tasks involve: Requirements gathering, solution prototyping and development of complete solution. Jatro
diesel replaced multiple point solutions with JIRA and Confluence.

Sr. Staff Engineer – March 2016 – December 2018


Samsung Research America
Responsible for all Atlassian tools for Samsung Semiconductor and Research labs. Upgrade to
JIRA7.1.4, consolidation of multiple LDAP servers to single server, service desk installation and
administration. Develop confluence plugins. Structure plugin, install, configure and generate reports.
Installation, upgrade, maintain and generate reports using EazyBI 4.3.2. Developed plugins using
Atlassian SDK. Integrations with external tools like Perforce. Migrated 2 ldap sources and local users into
single ldap as divisions in Samsung merged. Developed applications to generate reports and update
external systems using oAuth.

EazyBI: Develop custom reports with for program management, developed scripts to optimize data
handling.
Structure: Install, create, manage structure, and manage permissions. Track time with structures to track
progress of different streams.
Portfolio: Performed what-if analysis, provided analysis on initial estimates and report on release
progress.

California Casualty Management Company (CCMC)

CCMC is an insurance company that provides auto and property insurance. I'm responsible for multiple
projects involving software applications that support the core business of CCMC . I also oversee the
development of the IT strategic plan to ensure its coherence with the overall business strategic plan and
company mission.

My role:
• Provide leadership for enterprise architecture, software development, QA, and compliance teams.
• Identify and evaluate new products or technologies to be introduced within various projects as
applicable.
• Manage and develop a team consisting of software project managers and QA.
• Manage project budget forecasts and operational expenditures.
• Establish a clear mission and goals for software projects.
• Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourced and consultant contracts
• Develop operational support processes to ensure tracking service level agreements of core
systems in Production.
My accomplishments:
• Led core system development teams to deliver, enhance, and operate solutions and drive
integration.
• Implemented CCMC’s first software project using agile methodology which has now been widely
adopted by many I.T projects in the Company.
• Instituted Six Sigma (DMAIC Methodology) in problem solving methodology resulting in 30%
reduction in help desk call resolution time.
• Built virtual teams that include employees and offshore vendor resources
• Instituted processes that increased the visibility of daily I.T activities to help predict resource
overload and streamline resource allocation.

product RichLink automates and centralizes the management and distribution of links and metatags at the
word, phrase, and metadata level.

My Role:
• Responsible for all products, planning, development and strategic technology initiatives.
• Hands-on architect working with development & QA, designing, writing code, planning and
executing tasks.

various instruments on the locomotive and provides proper ventilation controls based on temperature
settings.

My Role:
• Responsible for coordinating development, quality assurance and testing activities for GETS with
offshore team in India.
• Hands on Manager, writing code, designing and releasing software updates.

Test sequence generator is a tool to generate test sequences for better fault coverage for circuits under
test.

Description of Role:
• Designed and developed test sequence generator.
• Offshore lead working in prioritizing Sequence team activities in India division.
