Considering that
 prefixes are sometimes joined to the front of words eg un + happy = unhappy
 suffixes are sometimes joined to the ends of words eg effect + ive = effective
 sometimes more than one suffix is added: eg effect + ive + ly = effectively

When you take off prefixes and suffixes, you are left with the original word, the base word. It
has to be a REAL WORD, not part of a word.
