The Titanomachy
The Titanomachy was a war between the Gods and the Titans. This war lasted 10 years with no
clear winner. However, the Gods defeated the Titans a little bit after that. According to
GreekGodsandGoddesses.net, the series of wars in the Titanomachy took place in Thessaly. The
Gods were in control of Mount Olympus while the Titans controlled Mount Othrys. In
first ruler of the universe. During the war, the Gods and the Titans fought long and hard battles
for over a decade. After Zeus freed the Cyclops, they rewarded him with his very popular
lightning bolt. Then, the Gods finally defeated the Titans with the help of older powers. Zeus

Cronus
Cronus was a ruthless Titan that fought alongside the Titans in the Titanomachy. He was the
most popular Titan because of his power and how he ruled the universe. He came to power by
overthrowing his father, Uranus, who was ruler of the universe before him. According to
GreekGodsandGoddesses.net, Cronus envied the power of Uranus, who was the ruler of the
universe at the time. Gaia was angry at Uranus because he put her children in Tartarus, which
imprisoned them. Gaia convinced Cronus and his Titan brothers to overthrow Uranus. Only
Cronus was willing to overthrow him. Once it was all over, Uranus’s blood fell onto the Earth
which created Gigantes, Erinyes, and Meliae. The blood that fell onto the sea created Aphrodite,
the God of love and beauty. Cronus then incarcerated the Cyclopes and the Hecatonchires.
Cronus and Rhea, his sister, took over power together. After this is when Cronus heard about the
prophecy that one of his sons would overthrow him. Then we know that Zeus overthrew Cronus
