Procedure:
1. PART A: Disperse PEG-90M into propylene glycol, and then add deionized
water. Mix until uniform. Set PART A aside.
2. PART B: In a separate vessel, heat water (PART B) to 75-80°C.
3. PART C: In a separate vessel, combine PART C ingredients and heat to 75-
80°C.
4. Add PART C to PART B with mixing. Mix until uniform. Begin cooling batch
to 55 - 60°C.
5. PART D: Disperse Pemulen™* TR-1 Polymer into Permethyl® 101A.
6. When batch (PART B/C) has cooled to <60°C, add PART D to batch. Mix
until uniform.
7. PART E: In a separate vessel, pre-mix ingredients.
8. Add PART E to batch (PARTS B/C/D). Mix until uniform.
9. Pre-neutralize batch with Triethanolamine (99%). Mix until uniform.
Continue cooling batch.
10. Add PART A to batch (PARTS B/C/D/E). Mix until uniform. Continue cooling
batch.
11. When batch has cooled to 40°C, add PART G ingredients to batch in order.
Mix well after each addition. Mix until uniform.
12. Neutralize batch with Triethanolamine (99%) to pH of 6.0-6.5. Mix until
uniform.
