This action establishes a favorable distribution of the electrical charges and electrostatic stresses in the insulation system of the tube and the associated equipment. Included in each X-ray Tube, the manutacturer gives the instructions to pertorm the Tube seasoning. {tis mandatory to follow these instructions, calibrating previously the combinations of kV / mA stations required for carrying out the seasoning procedure. (Refer to Calibration document for calibration of kV/mA combinations). A correct seasoning will assure the most accurate calibration of the Generator (Filament Current Numbers) and a subsequent trouble-free operation.
