arrear subjects – Notification – Reg.

Several B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A. / M.B.A. / M.Sc. students
from Affiliated Institutions admitted during the academic years 2001 – 2002, 2002 – 2003
and B.E. / B.Tech (Part-Time) students admitted during 2002-2003 & 2003-2004 and
students of B.E. / B.Tech. Degree programmes admitted under lateral entry scheme
during the academic years 2002 – 2003 and 2003 - 2004 have represented that they were
not able to complete the arrear subjects within the stipulated maximum period including the
special relaxation granted to 2001-2002 students.
Now, based on the representations special permission is now granted for extension
of time beyond the maximum permitted period to complete the arrear subjects
within 2 chances i.e. during November / December 2009 session and April / May 2010
session to the following three categories of students.
(i). The students who were admitted to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A. /
M.B.A. / M.Sc. Degree programmes during the academic years 2001 – 2002 and
2002 – 2003 are yet to complete the arrear subjects.
(ii). The students who were admitted to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree programmes under
Lateral Entry scheme during the academic year 2002 – 2003 and 2003 – 2004 are yet to
complete the arrear subjects within the stipulated maximum period.
(iii). The students who were admitted to B.E. / B.Tech. (Part-Time) in the year
2002 – 2003 and 2003 – 2004 are yet to complete the arrear subjects within the
stipulated maximum period.

inform the interested students accordingly, so that the students may be in a position to
complete their arrear subjects within the maximum extension time granted.

PREAMBLE
Several B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A. / M.B.A. / M.Sc.

students admitted during the academic years 2001 – 2002, 2002 –
2003 and B.E. / B.Tech (Part-Time) students admitted during 2002-
2003 & 2003-2004 and students of B.E. / B.Tech. Degree programmes
admitted under lateral entry scheme during the academic year 2002 –
2003 and 2003 – 2004 have represented that they were not able to
complete the arrear subjects within the stipulated maximum period
including the special relaxation granted to 2001 – 2002 students.
ORDER
After careful consideration of the reasons stated by the
candidates, the Vice-Chancellor has granted special permission for
extension of time beyond the maximum permitted period to complete the
arrear subjects within 2 chances i.e. during November / December 2009
session and April / May 2010 session to the following three categories of
students.
(i). The students who were admitted to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech.
/ M.C.A. / M.B.A. / M.Sc. Degree programmes during the academic years
2001 – 2002 and 2002 – 2003 are yet to complete the arrear subjects.
(ii). The students who were admitted to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree programmes
under Lateral Entry scheme during the academic year 2002 – 2003 and
2003 – 2004 are yet to complete the arrear subjects within the
stipulated maximum period.

In this regard, the candidates of Affiliated Institutions are requested to

contact the Controller of Examinations, Anna University Chennai at the
earliest.
The candidates of Autonomous colleges are requested to contact the

Principal / Controller of Examinations of the Autonomous Colleges at the
earliest.
