BUS FEES
SCHOOL LUNCHES
1. Tuition, bus and lunch fees are charged for 10 months of the year from September to June
inclusive.
2. Tuition, bus and lunch fees are collected by direct debit through the bank during the first ten
days of each month.
3. There is a 5% surcharge on tuition, bus and lunch fees which are not paid by direct debit.
4. Those parents who choose not to pay by direct debit may only pay their tuition, bus and lunch
fees within 5 days of the invoice date, either by cheque or bank transfer:.

5. The School reserves the right to adjust bus fees or seek alternative transport arrangements at
the beginning or during the year if necessary, depending on student numbers.
6. The monthly rate for school lunches is a set monthly fee, regardless of the number of school
days in each month. The pupil’s parents may claim unused lunches only after at least 5
consecutive school days of pupil’s absence.
7. Occasional school lunches must be paid in advance to the office.
APPLICATION FEE
A charge of 25% of the entrance fee is made on receipt of an application. This charge is deducted from
the Entrance Fee payable on acceptance of a place. The application charge is not refunded if the
application is voluntarily withdrawn.
EXAMINATION FEES
All public examination fees are payable by parents. Fees for examinations, however, will not be
accepted if there are tuition fees outstanding.
TRIPS
All residential trips are payable by parents. Payment for trips, however, will not be accepted if there are
tuition fees outstanding.
DISCOUNTS
A 30%, 60% and 90% discount applies to the School tuition fee only, for the third, fourth and fifth sibling
respectively of children in attendance at the British School.
The School will offer a 50% scholarship for the Sixth Form for two pupils based on their IGCSE/GCSE
results. Full details are available from the office. Students for whom fees are outstanding at the end of
Year 11 will not be eligible for the award. The School reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship
should any fees fall into arrears for either the pupil in receipt of the scholarship or their siblings.
UNPAID FEES
The School will charge interest at 5% per month on all unpaid fees, including tuition, bus, and lunch.
All costs incurred in the collection of unpaid fees shall be recoverable from the parent in full.
In the event of non-payment of fees the School reserves the right to withdraw bus and lunch services
and to exclude the pupil from the School.
No pupil may start a new school term with fees outstanding from the previous term, until they have
been fully paid, including interest.
Parents whose direct debit payments are returned from the bank more than once in an academic year
will be subject to the 5% surcharge.
Withdrawal of the pupil – written notice is required a full term in advance when withdrawing a student
from the British School.
Discontinuing School Lunches/Changes in Bus Service – written notice is required one month in
advance when discontinuing School Lunch or Bus Service.
