Calculation:
Total number of people can be allowed per Hact per day - 5 to 30 as per WTO standards
Assume a standard width of water course in Alappuzha backwaters = 50 m
For a unit hectare area (10,000 m2), total length = 10,000/50
= 200m
So, in 200 meters 20 persons can travel i.e., 2 boats assuming an occupancy rate of 10
persons/boat. 1 Km
So, in 1km, the number of boats = 2*5

=10 boats.

Most of the tourist participated in the survey were happy with the facilities offered
in the check-in/boarding point
Almost all of the tourist participated in the survey commented that they were
satisfied with the facilities that they were offered in the houseboat
About 60 % of the tourist prefer for the cultural shows on board and 40 % not
prefer for the cultural shows on board
Most of the tourist prefer the cruise duration for one full day
About 70% of the tourist participated in the survey suggested that night halting
must be there in the off shore facility center but want to spend their night in the
houseboat
About 50% of the tourist suggest that they would like to have intermittent
shore/village walk during cruise trip and also like to get into narrow water lanes in
small boats during cruise trip
75% of the tourist participated in the survey rated that they were very much
satisfied with the cruise trip
Major suggestion put forward by the tourist are
