Summary:
The IT Manager role is to develop, implement and define support processes for the voice
and data infrastructure in a 24x7x365 critical services environment. Position is a working
manager role requiring working knowledge of voice and data networks and systems,
network management protocols, network architecture, and best practice security principles.
Ideal candidates in this position must keep abreast of industry trends, various regulatory
requirements, technology advancements, and use the collective of information to establish
and execute technology strategies to support the business operation.
The IT Manager must possess an extensive background in telecommunications practice
including hands on experience with hardware and software. Responsible for the overall
performance and availability of LAN and WAN networks.
SQL and XML knowledge is a must.
Essential Functions:
Manage a team of technicians supporting the companys network and phone systems
including recruiting, training, evaluating, motivating, and monitoring their activities.
Provide direction and leadership for the design and implementation of LAN, WAN, and
telephony systems
Manage to a capital and expense budget and exercise good judgment in the disposition and
handing of IT assets.
Evaluating data and telecom vendors and service providers, coordinate equipment
purchases and installation
Research and make recommendations to IT management on network and telecom
architecture, upgrades, improvements and long term strategy
Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations
relating to the network and telephony systems.
Determine and report on metrics relevant to the successful functioning of network and
telephony systems and perform trending analysis based on business strategy and growth
projections.
Develop strategic plans for LAN/WAN/Internet and telephony networks, set priorities, and
allocate resources to meet corporate objectives.
Manage and maintain compliancy standards and controls for PCI/TSA and provide
evidence of process and audit trails.
Develop and enforce IT standards to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.
Liaise with business units in order to establish and maintain an effective understanding of
their business model.
Coordinates technical investigations, process analysis, and root cause analysis as needed
to resolve IT related issues that impact operations.
Recognize and identify work that needs to be performed with a sense of ownership for
improving the overall environment.
Design and implement new processes to increase efficiency and provide
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Experience:
3+ years professional experience in similar position
Skills:
Highly skilled and competent in MS Office and database management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Greek).
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work flexible schedule including travel and additional, nontraditional work
hours
Proven ability to independently take appropriate action and make sound decisions
within scope of authority
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with all
staff levels, volunteers, key executives, and the public
Ability to deal with non-routine matters and special projects with minimum and specific
instruction
