Prefixes are usually unstressed. The stress is


normally on the root word, e.g. misunderstand,

10.7 WORD STRESS: giving advice/warnings


Listen to the advice and warnings. Underline the
two or three stressed words in each sentence. Then
replace the words in italics with your own ideas.
Watch out for hippos!
Make sure you lock your car.

Be careful its dangerous!
Dont forget to call.
