CIVIL ENGINEERING
CC606 - HYDROLOGY
15 WEEKS

HAYAZI BINTI HANAFI
SYNOPSIS

HYDROLOGY helps enhance student knowledge on the concept of hydrology cycle that
involves processes that occur after rain fall. This module also discusses on
management of surface run off after rain fall until it returns to the rivers and
atmosphere. Emphasis is given towards the calculation of rain fall data and urban
drainage concept in developing new areas.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1.

2.

3.

Explain knowledge of the water processes in

hydrological cycle and fundamental principles of
surface runoff (C5)
Summarize the use of hydrograph analysis and flood routing
with level pool routing and channel routing method using
Muskingum method.(C6)
Possess a creative and innovative complete design channel using
Urban Storm Water Management Manual.(A5)
