Success Criteria:
Students will be successful if able to
1. draw the plan
2. draw the front elevation
3. draw the side elevation
Teaching and Learning Activities
Register and Introduction:
Teacher displays the heading, learning objectives and success
criteria on the board.
Students will be seated in group with almost same abilities.
Teacher will take the roll.
Starter Activities:
Whats the 3d shape?
(Logical/mathematical Intelligence Learners)
1. Each group of students are given some magnetic cards and a
magnetic board.
2. They need to recall back their prior knowledge to put the cards in
the right combination.
3. After 5 minutes, they will compare their answers with the other
groups.
4. Teacher will show the correct answers on the IWB.
(Visual/spatial Intelligence Learners)

Time
5 min

15 min

1. Each group of students are given some cards and a i-think bubble
map.
2. Example is given and they will analyse the example given to fill
up the blanks.
3. After 5 minutes, they will compare their answers with the other
groups.
4. Teacher will show the correct answers on the IWB.
Main Activity/Teaching Point:
Build a Model
(Logical/mathematical Intelligence Learners)
1. Teacher distributes each group with 10 cubes and instructs the
students to build a 3D model.
2. The students need to work together to build and draw the plan,
front elevation and side elevation in 15 minutes.
3. Teacher will facilitate from group to group.
4. After students complete the task, each group will exchange their
worksheet with the plan and elevations with another group. That
group will need to analyse the plan, front elevation and side
elevation and build the model in 10 minutes.
5. When time is up, students will exchange their answers, compare,
discuss and correct the mistakes. (Interpersonal intelligence
learners)
6. If time permits, students will do anchor activities.

Interpreting the Models
(Visual/spatial Intelligence Learners)
1. Teacher prepares 9 different 3D models.
2. Each group will have 3 models. They need to work together to
complete the drawing of the plans, front elevations and side
elevations.
3. After 5 minutes, they will exchange models with another groups.
4. This will continue until they finish drawing all the 9 models.
7. Teacher will display the marking scheme in front of the classroom.
Students will compare and mark their answers according to the
given answer scheme. They are encouraged to discuss and
correct their friends mistakes. (Interpersonal intelligence
learners)
8. If time permits, students will do anchor activities.

10 min

Plenary Activity:
Select the best combinations
1. Teacher distributes each group with a worksheet and some
drawings in an envelope.
2. Teacher instructs the students to work in group. They will discuss
among themselves before conclude the best drawing as the top
view and side view. (Naturalist intelligence learners)

10 min

4. The group that can come out with the correct answer and
explaination will be rewarded. (Verbal/linguistic intelligence
learners) (Questioning skill)
5. Teacher will revisit the LO and SC of the lesson.
6. Teacher guides the students to do self-assessment on the lesson
based on the success criteria. Thumbs up, thumbs down is use to
get feedback from students. (Intrapersonal intelligence learners)
7. If time permits, students can do extra exercise from their
workbook.
