Measuring the Piping Progress

Dia Inch unit of Measure is used to measure the

progress of the Piping.
The weld joint of the pipe size is converted to the
equivalent Dia Inch of welding

Examples:
1. One welding joint of 8 inch diameter pipe = 8 Dia Inch
2. Two welding joints of 12 inch diameter pipe = 24 Dia Inch

Measuring the Piping Progress

Welding Control System- WCS

UO1 Contractor (GS) using WCS to monitor the dia

inch of all piping works at Shop as well as field.
WCS shall be updated on daily basis by contractor.
Status of individual line by service, area etc., shall be
checked in WCS database and it shall be saved in excel
sheet. Below table (excel) is extracted from WCS.
