You will see such a Screen when the program starts running on your computer
as
in
the
Picture.
From the menu at the top of the screen, you can switch to the appropriate page
by clicking on one. In this manual, we will explain Each of the menu in detail.
At the bottom left of the screen image, and the USB cable image that is written
in green colour "Connected to ECU" message, shows that USB cable is
plugged and the ECUs programming cable is also in communication with the
ECU. When USB cable is not connected or unable to communicate with the
ECU,
a
warning
message
will
also
appear
in
this
field.
Right at the bottom of the screen and a black coloured "Language" section of
the program, you can access the language option and the program can be used
by replacing any of the selected language.
Please connect the USB cable to the ECU and to your computer, for starting the
communication with the ECU.
The other end of the cable should be connect to the wiring harness.
After making the wiring installation , please switch the vehicle's ignition key in
order to start working with the ECU. Then you can run PC program.
Parameters page:
19
By using the Parameters page , various data of the vehicle can be viewed
and the car can be switched to gas or gasoline.
Blue graphics and text shows Petrol injection times of each petrol injectors.
Green graphics and text shows Gas injection times of each gas injectors.
While the car is on petrol mode, this zone seen as zero value.
Temp shows the temperature of the gas regulator.
Gas Pressure shows the Regulators outlet GAS pressure.
Manifold Pressure shows the intake suction manifold pressure.
RPM This zone shows the engine RPM value. (If engines RPM signal connected)
Supply Voltage shows the voltage of the engine.
In the lower right side of the screen , you can see the "changeover switch
key" icon and by clicking the image, the vehicle can be used by gas or
gasoline. Moreover, the amount of remaining gas in storage tanks is indicated
by the switch key again.
Vehicle's gas and manifold pressure, is measured by "Manifold Pressure
(MAP) Sensor". Defected or improper MAP sensor, will have a negative effect
on the operation of vehicle.
In the lower part of the automatic calibration page, you can watch in the tool
boxes all the parameters of the vehicle, and also there is a switch key button
where
you
can
pass
to
gas
or
gasoline.
To start the automatic calibration, clicking "Start Calibration" button is
enough.
21
22
To get the vehicle switch to gas or gasoline, and to view the parameters, there
are a lot of tool boxes. By using the Graphic image tool, you can adjust, as
needed gas injection to the value for given gasoline injection time. A linear
graph is always recommended but in some vehicles when at the gas mode
during in load, the performance might be reduced, therefore it is possible to
get a beter result by making a variety of graphics changes and this will make
the curve close to the ideal.
By Clicking, the Save to ECUs button; the prepared curve and alpha, offset
values are transmitted to the ECU's memory. After any changes in this page,
you should click this button.
By clicking Load from ECUs the button; ECUs memory and the values
obtained in the curve are installed on the computer screen. Each time Map
Setup page is opened, it automatically loads all the information inside the
ECUs, to the screen.
23
Save to file by clicking the button, the prepared curve and parameters can
be saved to the computer for a later use.
Click the Load from file button ; previously saved and setted curve to a
computer, can be installed to the screen.
Alpha value; makes the adjustment of the vehicle's fuel injection, in which
rate gas injection will be converted. Alpha value should be within a certain
range. that is would be 1:00 in ideal conditions, but the tool can be set
according to the state of the vehicle. Curve is steeper when the value of alpha
increases, however whehn the alfa decreases, approaching the curve is
horizontal.
The boundaries of Alpha value:
Alpha 0.00 - 0.75 large nozzle size, reduce the diameter.
Alpha 0.75 - 0.90 the diameter of the nozzle is appropriate,
but reduction of the nozzle size is recommended.
Alpha 0.90 - 1:10
value 1.00)
Any changes to the offset and the alpha values will affect the car idling
injection. At the end of the Adjustments, when working on gas and petrol, the
fuel injection period is required to have the same values. As an example, if the
injection of vehicles used in petrol mode is 3.0ms, when the vehicle is is used
in gas mode it must be 3.0ms pterol injection time.
"petrol injection time during in petrol mode = petrol injection time during in
gas mode
If all the conditions hold true , the calibration means true.
25
26
In the picture above , Automatic calibration has been made and the alpha and
offset values has not been touched. Vehicles were tested in similar load
conditions in the drive, and the differences was observed between gas and
petrol. The difference in performance can be understood by the driver from a
computer that can be followed during such tests. For correcting the difference
in the traction, this curve has been set for Petrol and gas.
If the Vehicle in idling and at medium load is good, but if in the high-load , the
mixture is coming too rich, and if the emissions are rising or if the vehicle
drowned, it is possible to withdraw by breaking the curve downward . This
situation can not be encountered regularly.
27
This kind of a broken curve will impairs the performance and all the parameters
of the car. During the Breaking point , breaking curve shouldnt be very steep
and please Take care that to break down the curve in the negative zone , will
decrease the car's performance, please remember that.
At any time, After making the adjustments to the curve , by using "Save to
ECU" button, store your adjustments to the ECU's memory.
in the case of a power failure of the electricity, uploaded settings to the ECU
will never be deleted. After adjustments , you can change the vehicle's battery,
or you can change the fuses of the car. This will not give any harm to the car.
28
Blue ball:
The blue ball which is seen in Graphic screen, shows the vehicles applied fuel
injection value to the fuel injector and ECUs application of the gas injection
value. blue ball normally is Floating on top of the red curve line, but in some
cases, may stop at different points. Stopping the blue point at another point is
not due to incorrect settings or of any failure , the reason for this is the change
of gas pressure in the regulator. Normal value of the gas pressure of regulators
is saved to the ECU in the settings page and ECU continuously monitors the
regulator. If gas pressure of regulators differ from normal, ECUs' automatically
makes the necessary calculations and the vehicle maintains in the same
performance. By using the ECU's automatic pressure equalization feature, even
if the gas regulator pressure will decrease over some time later, there wont be
any change in the performance of the vehicle. Even if the gas inside the tank
willfinish, a change will not ocur in automatic return to petrol mode. With this
feature, the signal characteristics of ECU seeks to follow in cases of sudden gas
to prevent accumulation and exhibits a performance similar to gasoline.
Settings Page:
Settings Page , contains ECU's working settings that affect performance.
Having the necessary information, while making the adjustments will help to
make the necessary correct settings. All set parameters will be described below
one by one and you are requested to review them carefully.
29
According to the vehicle's engine size , from the table you can find out the
appropriate nozzle diameter.
Recommended the nozzle diameter are for 1.0 bar regulator outlet pressure. If
you use a Pressure regulator at a higher value than 1 bar, you must use a
smaller diameter nozzle at the same rate you increase the pressure.
30
The new-generation vehicles with the same engine volume can produce a
higher horsepower , for that reason , you should use nozzle diameter bigger
than 20% than the suggested values. Instead of enlarging the diameter of the
nozzle sizes, by increasing the gas pressure regulator , you can also reach the
same results.
Increasing the Regulator pressure or enlarging the nozzle diameter are same
things in terms of performance . because after the automatic calibration, the
offset value by referring to the nozzle diameter is smaller , decide nozzle
diameter drill instead by raising a bit regulator gas pressure , you can also fix
the problem. This reverse process is also true that nozzle diameter come
bigger, if you can solve the problem by reducing gas pressure regulator.
Always appropriate nozzle diameter and 1.0 bar pressure is
recommended.
Attention,
Do not miss
them ......
Each time you change Gas pressure regulator or injector nozzle diameter , a
new automatic calibration is required .
When you change the gas regulator pressure , from the settings menu, by
selecting "Normal Gas Pressure" parameter please inform the ECU.
You need to be very careful while Expanding the nozzle , each nozzle drill
should exactly be the same with nozzle hole diameter . Do not forget . If
nozzles with a dirt inside or a different diameter than another , the gas system
will definitely do not work properly.
Factory-drilled and tested nozzles is always recommended.
31
Changeover Settings:
Temp to Switch Gas shows how much time the vehicle will wait to warm up.
Switching to Gas Delay indicates the delay time in seconds that the
vehicle has to wait before switching to gas., Even if the vehicle is hot enough, it
does not pass to gas until the settled time is over, so that the hot vehicles are
prevented from running again in gas directly.
Switching injection time setting , the car with gas, how many seconds to
switch the fuel injection is set. Lets consider that this value is 5.0ms, consider
that when the car is in idling 3.2ms fuel injection, under these conditions to
switch to gas, the driver should pressed on the gas pedal. If change this value
as 2.0ms, the vehicles passes to the gas even in its in idling . ( without any
need of accleration ) Some old and neglected vehicles can shake while passing
to gas in idling. By raising the value,
Minimum injection time ECUs will determine the minimum opening time of
the gas injector will. Minimum time of injection, LPG/CNG conversion kit is
supplied with 3.2ms for standard injectors. Do not make any change unless it is
specifically required to use a different value.
32
General Settings:
Fuel Type with this option, you can be indicate either LPG or CNG will be used
in the vehicle.
Engine Type with this option, standard or turbo engine may be selected.
Critical temperature you can set the minimum allowable regulator
temperature when the car Works in gas mode. This value is usually 5 degrees
Celsius. If the regulator temperature drops below the set value while the
vehicle is running in gas mode, ECU will save critical temperature as a
failure. This error usually ocur when a sufficient amount of cooling water is
unable to reach to the regulator.
Clyinder interval time determines a time setting for each channel of gas
cylinder switching one by one delay to gas mode. So that each particular
individual Cylinder channel can switch and standby to gas ; thereby you will not
feel any shaking.
Start with gas for emergency Check box if want to run the car directly with
gas in the first ignition. This usded when the petrol is finished. To run the car
directly in gas mode, turn off the ignition key, press and hold on the gas switch
key and turn on the starter ignition key. While pressing the starter ignition key,
Do not pull your hand over the gas switch key and when the car starts running
on gas then you can pull your hand.
Changeover buzzer enabled if you check this box, while passing from
petrol to gas, "buzzer" (whistle) short generates an audio signal so that the
driver can understand of the gas passes without looking at indicators only
through the audio signal.
33
Pressure Settings:
The normal gas pressure value, is the regulators gas pressure value. After
installation of LPG /CNG kit, while the car is running in gas mode during idling,
you can to find out the gas pressure regulator from the "Parameters" page and
you can enter this value here.
Minimum gas pressure indicates the minimum allowable gas pressure while
the vehicle is working in gas mode. In general, changing is not necessary, but
this value can be slightly increased, if the car has some problems switching to
petrol when the gas is finished or if it stops. If This value is too much increased,
instantaneous and sudden acceleration in gas mode, the system may
automatically return from gas to gasoline.
Maximum Gas Pressure by using this parameter, the maximum gas
pressure value is adjusted while the car is working in gas mode. If Regulator
output pressure, exceeds the maximum gas pressure, due to the high pressure,
ECUs will record and saves error to its memory. In Such cases, does not occur in
a proper regulator. If the regulator has a poor quality, damaged or fails, in this
case, This error will be logged.
Pressure Measurement Period value is a parameter usually do not need to
be changed. It can be reduced somewhat if the Vehicle has some difficulties in
return from gas to petrol.
34
RPM Settings
In this section you can enable or disable RPM signal input and you can change
some settings of RPM signal.
Generally RPM connection is recommended but some cars whic has trouble in
electric connection or have unstable RPM signal.
Enable RPM Signal Input if checked LPG/CNG ECU starts using the RPM
signal.
Cyl. Count setting number of cylinder of engine.
Coil Count setting number of coil of engine.
Operating Range of GAS section is using set the vehicles RPM range for GAS
mode.
For example you can set the values as 1000 < Operating Range of GAS <
6000 for engine uses petrol in car idling and engine uses gas in car running on
35
road. If you set the values like that the engine runs on petrol when RPM is lower
than 1000 or higher than 6000.
Inj. Time for High RPM Switch by this section you can change the behavior
of ECU, when engine has high RPM. If engine has high RPM and injection time
of petrol is more than the value, ECU switch to petrol. If RPM is high but there is
not enough injection of petrol, ECU does not switch to petrol even RPM exceed
value of operation range thus engine does not switch petrol in low load or N
gear.
Hide changeover operation from driver if check this setting, driver will not
see changeover notification on gas switch
Level of sensor type is generaly of "Cangas 1050", and while the ECU produced
this sensor is loaded to its memory. Sensor will not make any changes if "No
Changes" option is marked. Before any other settings, if you want to install
Cangas 1050, please mark "Cangas 1050" option. If you're using A special
sensor, and if you are going to make sensor calibration by yourself , please
Select this option "Other Settings" . if this will be activated, the settings the
button will be active and by Clicking "Advanced Sensor Settings" page, you can
do the level sensor calibration.
Map sensor:
36
If requested by using the MAP sensor option, you can add new MAP sensor. If there is
MAP sensor malfunction and or absence of a MAP Sensor, you can run the vehicle by
turning off MAP Sensor option.
MAP sensor can only be temporarily shut down and as soon as a map sensor
mounted on the vehicle, the performance, traction will be perfect, and it is very
important to automatically switch to gasoline.
Always a convenient and accurate MAP sensor is recommended for a beter
performance.
Advanced Sensor Settings page can be seen in the Picture below.
Sensor calibration can be done manually from this page. The sensor resistant
unit should be always KR value. 0-90R sensors are not supported by this
system.
37
On the top of the Advanced sensor settings page, five key can be seen. Boxes
at the bottom of these images are used to adjust the resistance
range. Resistance meter section of the sensor values can be seen during
adjustment.
Setting process is briefly as follows; level sensor installed on the vehicle and
sensor systems that are connected to the mutlivalves float ball and when it is
moved and taken key positions in which one is brought to light in that position
if necessary. While in this position multivalve values resistance value were
measured and the desired resistance is written on the meter box. This process
is done for each light level, and by using "Upload to ECU" button it is saved to
the ECU's memory.
From the menus, the settings are saved to a file stored on the computer. So
once you have set a sensor assembly, it can be used to open the same file later
for the other installations.
At some multivalve sensors, the amount of gas in storage tanks increases,
sensor resistance also increases, in some sensors the reverse of this can also
happen, the amount of gas in storage tanks increases, sensor resistance can
decrease. To ensure the compliance with this type of sensors, from the menu
feature you can use increasing or decreasing order sequence.
38
Menus:
Car ID in this menu, you can read from the memory of the ECU, all the
assembly information and you can save them. From the Tooltips of the Vehicle
IDs , the assembly date is automatically assigned as the computer date. To do
this, you can use "Today" button. ECUs will save on installation will be saved
only once and then changed.

gas and gasoline or you can reset them
Start Gas Directly from the menu you can find out how many times the car
worked directly on gas, and this number can be resetted.
Trouble Codes from the menu you can see the recorded errors of the ECU,
you can delete them.
Secopes Page:
Secopes page allows you to see all the parameters of the vehicle in graphical
way. From this screen, the change of the parameters due to time and compared
with the other parameters can be examined. The Examined graphic can be
saved, can be stopped or deleted and also you can close the parameters in the
graphics screen and even you can check only one parameter.
