Well done, everyone! Excellent job!

For next year, we have prepared a NEW EDUCATIONAL CONCEPT based on BOOKS, rather than the system of themes and sub-themes we had before. Stories help us remember and make sense of our lives and the lives around us. A story is not a diversion, but an identity act; the best stories make our lives more understandable and focused. Therefore, all class inquiry next year will start from a book that will take the children on a cross-curricular learning journey.
In BOOKS we trust

MAY CCD & Summer School Registration JUNE - Summer Shows

CCD (16th of May)

The biggest event of the year

15:00-16:30

CONCEPT: Our CCD this year will revolve around the concept of a community good time PICNIC with flags, national costumes, traditional food, drinks and music, activities with prizes for parents and children. We ask all contributors to pls. contact the Country Coordinator by the 30th of April to establish organizational and presentation details. TYPES OF INVOLVEMENT: You can be involved as little or as much as you want (you may choose to represent a different nationality than your own). Here are some ideas about how you can contribute: Bring traditional items and prepare the country-specific stand (you may bring photos, posters, flags, postcards, artifacts, albums, relevant material about that particular country ) Bring traditional music and food (preferable not easily perishable foods as it is rather warm outside); traditional dancers are also welcome to offer a special moment either at our stand or at the end of the event Where available - we would like to ask parents to send large flags which will be used for the decoration of our stand Display national costumes/clothing items (it would be great if some of us actually wore them for children to admire) Prepare activities/games for children (contest for children with symbolic prizes for around 85 children at a reasonable price) Any other ideas are welcome! :-)

WHERE & WHEN: The CCD will take place outdoors, in our yard, on the downstairs terrace, around the pool and in the barbecue area (since we are planning this to be a picnic!) from 15:00-16:30 pm. 15.00-15.15 Arrival 15.15-15.30 LLP childrens performance (playground by the main building) 15.3016.15 free flow at the stands & activities for children 16.15-16.30 competitions, dance & flash mob WHAT From the administrative point of view, we confirm that during the entire event our team will provide a photographer, a professional DJ, tables, chairs and umbrellas, water and plastic cutlery.

PARENT EXPECTATIONS DURING THE EVENT: Parents are invited to come at 15.00 oclock, being asked to: Take their children after their performance Visit the stands, talk to the stand representatives and find out many things about the respective country Involve their children in stand activities Get involved together with the children in competitions Dance, sing and have a good picnic with the other community members
