At IMI Film making Foundation Workshop, you will be taken through the entire process of film making by the IMI faculty, who are FTII alumni & industry professionals. The Production of multi shot 3 minute long documentary film with by each participant Day 3: Directing a Scene with Actress/Actor & Principle of Editing Directing a scene: A Classroom exercise How to maintain optimum creativity in difficult shooting circumstances Reel reality: an illusion Understanding the way audience reads images on screen How to maintain the visual continuity while creating an illusion Continuity in Direction of Movement Effect of crossing Centre Line / Imaginary Line Eye line Continuity The Principle of Editing Who edits a Film Psychological justification of editing Editor: An artist or mere technician Constructing a lucid continuity Track laying: creative use of Dialogue/Sound Effects & Music Remixing: Dramatic blending of all audio tracks Screening of a New wave Italian Cinema

The production of a short film, based on the Script prepared by each participant group. Participant has to send their directed movie to the faculties of IMI after 3 weeks and best movie will be shown in National Short Film Festival, Mumbai. Outstanding winner may even get a chance to act in ads during winter. Workshop to be conducted by: Pankaj Roy- Varied experiences in the world of film, television and advertising . produced and directed more than 500 hours of entertainment software for Satellite Television and Doordarshan. At the same time, he has been catering to varied communication needs of major corporate clients- creating cost effective, stylized and sleekly produced Corporate and Promotional films. Gargi Nandi- An experienced Film & Television Actress in Bollywood. Written & Anchored own shows on Zee TV. A member of Film Writers' Association. Acted in many Bollywood Films & Hindi Television Serials.
