    SHADOWS is a new generation synthetic aperture sonar system that provides high resolution seabed mapping in real-time. It offers constant resolution across the swath without gaps or distortions. The system processes data from side-looking arrays and a forward-looking array to generate orthorectified imagery of the seafloor over a 600m swath in real-time.
