MY TRAINING:
I did my primary and secondary education in a rural area of Karanataka and

pre-university in venkateshwara college in Hassan. Karanataka
MBBS:
I got in to MBBS in AIMS , Bellur on merit in dec.1994. I was a very active

student during my undergraduate days. My fovorite subject was Anatomy
and I won first place in statelevel Anatomy quiz competition. I completed
my MBBS securing 10 RANK in the final year university examination in
Jan 1999. I did my internship in Govt general hospital, mandya, under the
able guidance of reputed teachers of university of Mysore in 1999 April
-2000 March
ANATOMY TUTORSHIP;
Immediately after finishing my Internship I joined as a tutor in the

deparment of anatomy in Aims in 2000April. It was a great experience for
me working as a tutor in the Dept of anatomy for 2 yrs, 2000 April-2002
March. During this period I have dissected about 30 cadavers and taught
more than 300 students. In this tenure I learnt a lot of anatomy and this
basement of excellent anatomy knowledge gave me an edge over the other
students especially when I entered in to the surgical field.
MS (General surgery):
I got into postgraduation programme, MS in General surgery in Mysore

medical college one of the oldest and prestigious medical college of India
in 2002 Apr. As a postgraduate student I got well trained in Casuality and
emergency Medicine, General surgery and all the subspecialities. During this
programme I was trained in esteemed institutes like NIMHANS
(neurosurgery), JAYADEVA institute of cardiology (cvts), KIDWAI institute
of oncology (oncosurgery). During my MS I underwent training
programmes in Basic trauma life support), (BTLS) Advanced trauma life
support (ATLS) in ST JOHN’S medical college and hospital Banglore. I
successfully completed the training programme of 3 yrs in Apr 2005.
DNB:
I successfully completed DNB (Diplomate of national board) General
Surgery conducted by National board of examinations, India, Nov 2005.
MRCS:
I obtained the prestigious Intercollegiate MRCS, EDINBURGH, UK in
General Surgery and I am a proud member of Royal college of surgeons of
Edinburgh and got registered in General medical council (GMC), UK.
MNAMS:
I am also a member of National academy of medical sciences (MNAMS),
India, a distinguished board of medical sciences in new Delhi , India.
M CH UROLOGY:
I got in to Superspecialisation training M.CH in Genito-Urinary surgery in
Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, through all india enterance examination in Aug
2005 on merit . I completed this training programme of 3 yrs in august
2008. The dept of urology in Bombay hospital consisted of 12 consultants,
equipped with all the recent instruments, performing all varities of
operations in urology. Approximately more than 200 surgeries in a month
are done here starting from minor to supra-major surgeries. During this
programme I was extensively trained in Endo urology, Uro-oncology,
Paediatric urology, Transplant urology, Reconstructive urology,
Laparoscopic and Retroperitoneoscopic surgeries by world renowned
authorities in the respective subspecialities of urology.
I am well trained from basic surgeries like TURP, URS, PCNL to Radical
surgeries like Radical Nephrectomy, Radical cystectomy with Neo-bladder
Reconstruction, Radical prostatectomy. We were doing about 50 Renal
transplants in a year including non living donor renal transplants.
Reconsructive procedures like Urethroplasty, Pyloplasty, Uretric reimplants,
Hypospadias repair were routine surgeries practiced. I have done many
Laparoscopic and Retro peritoneoscopic surgeries under the judicial
supervision of my Consultants.
Well structured programme of weekly urology clinics and problem based
discussion of cases and regular weekly Journal reviews were done .
Academic activities like CME, Case presentations were regularly conducted
in our department. During the programme I submitted a dissertation on End
to End vs Substitution urethroplasty to the university under the guidance of
Prof AG PHADKE. It is proud to be a part of this team and get trained in
this esteemed institute.
CAREER INTENSIONS:
Being well trained to independently perform minor and major surgeries in
the field of urology, I am looking forward to continue practice as a
CONSULTANT UROLOGIST .
