Launched in December 1999, Wataniya Telecom is the second licensed GSM mobile operator in the State of Kuwait. Traded on the Kuwait Stock Exchange, the Company has a Market capitalization exceeding US $1.5 Billion, with over 40,000 shareholders. Wataniya Telecom Algerie is a subsidiary of Wataniya Telecom Kuwait. Wataniya Telecom is rapidly establishing itself as a fast growing Regional Mobile Telephony Services provider. Wataniya Telecom Algerie, Started the operations in Algeria in Jan-04. Having identified an enterprise wide system as an important requirement, Wataniya Telecom Algerie and has Selected Oracle Applications (the E-Business Suite) as the choice of application. The scope of this project was to implement Oracle Applications Finance and Distribution modules both in English and French Contribution Lijoy was directly responsible for engagement execution. He was the single point of contact for all operating aspects relating to the engagement. He addressed the implementation aspects and helped resolve issues together with DIPLs project co-coordinator. Contribution As a Module Lead he has been involved in the following activities: Carrying out Requirement analysis for the Oracle Purchasing & iSuppler. This involved extensive user interactions, understanding business requirements, identifying information needs, mapping them on to the Oracle Applications functionality, demonstrating them to client group and recommending the relevant Applications Fit. This included identifying the As Is flows, arriving at the To Be business flows & documenting them. Setting up the India Localization, identified localization requirements. Ascertain workarounds / customizations requirements for the identified gaps. Firming up the Requirements Definition, Presentation of the process flows to the client team and obtaining concurrence on the final process flows. Plan for the Conversion Strategy for transition of Static (Masters) data and Opening Balances to the Oracle Applications system. Prototyping of the business process in terms of mapping against the functionality of the modules in a test database installed as a part of the Oracle Applications installation process Handling additional user requirements on different screens using descriptive flexfields extensively. Project Description Emirates Group has interests in the areas of aviation, travel and tourism, providing engineering and maintenance services to other airlines, maintenance of various international airports, information technology and operates through three entities namely Emirates Airlines, DNATA and Mercator. Emirates Group undertook implementation of Purchasing, iProcurement and Inventory modules to replace the legacy system by a superior system with advanced security features and enable its users spread across the globe to seamlessly request for desired items and services by rolling out iProcurement in various offices of Emirates Group. Contribution As part of the offshore support, Lijoy was involved in the following activities for Purchasing, iProcurement modules: Understand the Requirements of Emirates and help the Onsite Team in Process Mapping and suggestion of work arounds. MRF LTD is a leading manufacturer of Tyres in Asia with significant global presence, having ISO 9002 and QS 9000 certifications for it operations, having six manufacturing plants and more than 80 marketing offices across the world. This has been the biggest project in South Asian Pacific region spreading over a period of 2 years with 600 user licenses. The project involves in implementation of Oracle financials and Oracle Process Manufacturing. Contribution In-charge for all technical related aspects of the project namely Form customisations, Developing Reports and Modification of existing Reports to suit business requirements of the company, was also responsible for data migration using oracle interfaces and SQL Loader. Responsible for Data Migration from existing legacy systems to Applications Tables using SQL Loader. Migrated Item data from the legacy system approx. 1200 end items and approx. 10000 intermediate items. Upload data from legacy system onto Inventory and Formula Management. Converting the existing legacy data and Uploading data to Custom/GL/GL Budget/AP Interfaces. Responsible for Designing and implementing the customized forms and reports in the project. Developed Forms for business processes not supported by product like Handling New defective Tyres, Handling Custom Invoice Printing reports, Check Printing, Developing new form for handling Quality information in OPM and Formula requirements.
