Challenge Our remit was to design and build an upgraded ETP to cater for Phase 2 loads at Wexford Creamery Answer

We designed the plant to treat the following influent loads: BOD 3364kg/day COD 5585kg/ day To treat this high BOD effluent we selected sequencing batch reactors (SBRs) with preceding anoxic tanks as the most suitable treatment process incorporating: Stormwater holding tank Existing DAF Plant 2 no. Anoxic tanks 2 no. SBR tanks each 25m diameter x 5.5 m deep Helixor diffused aeration system c/w 3 no. 75kw air blowers. Sludge return and recycle pumping Sludge thickening and dewatering New motor control centre Plant alarm/fault transmittal via GMS dial out
