Attendance Policy:
A student is required to be at all Concerts for their ensemble(s) with required uniform
or they will not receive full points.
A students grade will go down significantly if they miss a concert, as participation
points are 50% of your grade.
Students must arrive to Concerts in their required uniforms one hour before the
concert starts. These are mandatory rehearsals.
Class rehearsals abide by the same attendance policy of the school. A student can
have 5 unexcused absences before their grade starts to drop.

Program Outcomes:
Students will continue to develop their appreciation for musical
instruments through formal classroom instruction. Students will
continue to experience the performance aspect of musical arts: in
concerts, football games, and festivals, honors bands, honors choirs,
musicals, etc. Students will develop a greater appreciation in music
through the additional study of music theory, and time permitting,
music history, and computer applications. Students will continue to
develop skills that will enable them to pass through to the next level of
education, whether it as a college major, minor, or the services.
Course Requirements:
1. Each student must give full attention to the class rehearsal.
2. Make sure you have your music and a pencil every class. As it is
said no pencil, no career!
3. Each student will be required to perform in an in-class talent show
twice per semester to help influence and learn performance
techniques.
4. All concerts after school or during school are required and are part of
the students grade.
5. Black 1 inch Binder

they would ask the Choral Secretary to give them a copy.
