    Instructions:

    I. Answer ANY SIX out of the eight questions: (6 x 15 = 90)

    1. Explain the procedure for recognition of Trade Unions. Also explain the
    procedure for identifying the majority Union.

    2. Explain the procedure for Registration of Trade Union. What is the difference
    between Un-registered trade union and Registered trade union?

    3. Explain Lay off . How is it different from Lock-out ?

    4. Examine the immunities available to a registered Trade Union with the help of
    case law.

    5. Analyse the definition of Industry in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 with the
    help of case laws.

    6. Critically explain the limitations on the Managerial Prerogatives.

    7. Explain in brief different methods of resolution of Industrial Disputes Act. Also
    explain the procedure for publication and enforcement of Awards.

    II. Write short notes on the following:

    a) Collective bargaining
    b) Workman under the Industrial Disputes Act
    c) Outsiders as office bearers of a registered Trade Union
    d) Picketing
