The weather is not beautiful all of this time. Perhaps you can remember a day when bad weather made
you afraid. One kind of bad that scares many people is called a thunderstorm.
This is what happens when there is a thunderstorm. First you see a sudden flash of bright light. A few
second later you hear a loud rumbling sound. The quick flash is called lightening, and the loud sound is called
thunder. Lightening is colourful, but it can cause serious problems.
Lightening is electricity that is moving very rapidly. It may be moving between a cloud and the ground,
between two clouds, or between two parts of the same cloud. The lightening heats the air around it. This not air
expands, or gets bigger, and it causes the air to move in another. The air waves pass you in a series, one after
another. For this reason, you may hear many rumbles and not just one sound.

There are four seasons in Europe. Those are spring, summer, autumn or fall and winter. Each seasons
lasts for about there months, i.e. spring lasts March until May, summer begins around June and ends around
August, autumn from September until November and winter from December until February. Of course we
cannot fix the exact date and day when each seasons begins. If you to stay in London for instance, you will be
able to feel and see the different among them.
It seems funny to see that it rains a lot in summer. The temperature is around 21 0C at the day time, but
for them it has been hot enough. Lost of people will go to the to beach to swim or just to have sun bathing.
Summer is also the harvest time.
The opposite is winter. Don’t try to wear thin clothes there, or you will be chilly cold. The temperature
often drops to several degrees below zero. If you are lucky you may see snows everywhere.
You will see everything green in spring. The trees are full of leaves and the flowers are blooming
everywhere. People often take a walk in the park to have fresh air. Well, everything is beautiful in spring.
Autumn is marked with falling leaves and strong winds. Bare trees everywhere and everything is full.
The temperature begins to drop because it is close to the winter time.

The seasons in Indonesia are different from those in Europe, in Indonesia there are only two season,
namely the dry season and the wet or rainy season. In the dry season, the temperature may reach more than
350C. it’s very hot outside and the sun shines brightly. However in many tall buildings in the big cities, you will
not get any problems because you can find air conditions. Thin clothes are suitable for the daily use. Fruit crops
may take place in this season such as melons, mangoes, pineapples, and also durians. The dry season can be a
picnic time. People often go to beach or climb the mountain.
The wet season is a little bit boring. It almost rains every day. The sky always cloudy as if the sun is
hiding behind it, however the rainy season brings happiness to farmers, because their rice-fields depend on
water, either ever water or rain water.
