TRAINING, EDUCATION and EMPLOYMENT

1. Military Couples Reintegration after Deployment Study is seeking military couples who are in a committed relationship (do not have to be married) and live together that have experienced at least one deployment separation in the past 10 years to participate in this research study. Little is known about stress levels in military couples during the reintegration process or about effective ways to support and assist couples during this time after a deployment. The purpose of this study is to learn more about military couples and their reintegration experiences after deployment. We want to give not only the soldiers an opportunity to share experiences but their spouses/significant others too. If you agree to participate in this study, you and your spouse/partner will be asked to complete separate online surveys, which will take about 30 minutes to complete, donate a small amount of your saliva(less than a teaspoon) in order for us to measure cortisol levels (a measure of stress). We are allowed to give a $10 gift card to the non-active duty spouse/significant other at these appointments as a thank you for participating. For more information, please email or call: Donna Belew, [email protected] office 253.968.1067, mobile 253-432.0093 or Kristal Melvin, [email protected] office 253.968.1494. 2. We provide ongoing home visitation and communitybased support to families at their convenience. We work with them individually or as a family on a wide range of parenting issues. For more information on services please call: 253-966-7271. Childrens Groups These are ongoing support programs for military children to interact and play with peers, and for parents to connect with other parents.
