RFID BASED BOOK TRACKING SYSTEM FOR LIBRARY MANAGEMENT ABSTRACT

AIM: The main objective of this project is to develop an embedded system, which is used for tracking the book for library management using RFID Technology.

IMPLEMENTATION: This project is implemented 8051 based At89s52 developed board interfaced with RFID, EEPROM and LCD for displaying the data.

DESCRIPTION:

RFID based systems are going to revolutionize most of the market areas inventory control, supply chain tracking, equipment and personal tracking in hospitals, book tracking in libraries, employ time, attendance and access control, product tracking in product assembly. Our embedded systems board is going to deal the book tracking for libraries. Each and every student of the college is given a unique RFID tag/card and similarly each and every book in the library is assigned a tag. While entering into library student has to show his/her card and later he has to show the card of the corresponding book he/she requests. That particular book code is assigned to that particular student card. The operation of this total process will be appearing on the LCD which we connect to our microcontroller. The communication between the RFID and our microcontroller is established by MAX232. The system uses a compact circuitry build around flash version of AT89S52 microcontroller with a non-volatile memory Programs are developed using Embedded C, compiled using RIDE tool. ISP is used to dump the code into microcontroller.

SOFTWARE: Embedded C RIDE to write code ISP to burn the chip

HARDWARE: At89s52 based our own developed board Power Supply RFID Reader EEPROM LCD

ADVANTAGES: Low cost, automated operation, Low Power consumption.
