Galaxy AI has been developed by Samsung to provide users with a simpler user experience in many of the native apps that they use on a daily basis. Samsung Notes is one such app, used by countless people every day to jot down everything from grocery lists to their next million dollar business ideas.
Notes are often just brain dumps so they aren't properly formatted and spellchecked. They aren't all that presentable so users often have to manually fix all of these things before sharing the notes with someone. Powered by AI, the Note Assist feature makes it much easier to get those looking super professional.
What is Note Assist
Note Assist is a Galaxy AI feature that enables users to create intelligent summaries of their notes, format them, fix spelling errors, and even translate the text into another language all with just a couple of taps. It's pertinent to note that an internet connection is required for most of these features to work.
The Auto Format feature intelligently formates long blocks of text with headers and bullets or even as meeting notes. Users are presented with five auto-formatted results to pick from. The Summarize feature condenses the notes into salient points so that readers can quickly get the gist in a glance. Users can select from a standard or a detailed summary of the note. Translation also works with just one tap with current support for more than a dozen languages. Spelling correction works flawlessly as well, as it instantly finds spelling mistakes and fixes them.
How to enable Note Assist
Note Assist has to be enabled from the device settings menu. It's a simple process with only a few steps:
- Launch the Settings app, scroll down to tap on Advanced features
- Tap on Advanced Intelligence followed by Samsung Notes
- Toggle Turn on Note Assist
