Samsung's mission with Galaxy AI is to provide users with functionality that makes their lives easier. That's the underlying theme with all of the features that are a part of its artificial intelligence-based suite and will most definitely be the focus of all future features.
Chat Assist is one of the features that the Galaxy AI was introduced with on the Galaxy S24 series. It's particularly useful for those who need to do a lot of text-based correspondence, either through text messages or email, on their Samsung devices.
What is Chat Assist
Chat Assist lends a helping hand when you're crafting a new message or response. It can help with the tone of the message, providing suggestions to make it sound more professional, for example, or more casual. Chat Assist also helps fix the grammar and spelling. This Galaxy AI feature can even translate outgoing and incoming messages in several languages to make it easier for users to carry on conversations even with those that may speak a different language.
How to enable Chat Assist
Chat Assist is enabled by default. Simply start typing in the app to bring up the keyboard and then tap on the Galaxy AI icon in the left corner. You'll then be able to use all of the different Chat Assist features.

All Samsung phones that have Galaxy AI support Chat Assist. Do keep in mind that the Chat Assist features are only available on the Samsung Keyboard. You won't be able to use these features on your device if you use a third-party keyboard.
