The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is joining its horizontally-folding cousin in making the jump to the latest Android and One UI security patch. Samsung's October 2024 security update went live for the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Fold 5, Flip 6, and Flip 5 this week and will be making its way to more devices in the coming days.
The rollout of the Flip 6 update started in Europe on October 10 and should expand to other parts of the world soon. It sports the build number F741BXXS1AXI3 and makes the phone more secure by fixing 30+ security flaws in Android and One UI.

To download the update, open the phone's Settings app, scroll down and tap Software update, then hit Download and install. It is a little over 400MB in size, and you should make sure you have the data bandwidth necessary to complete the download if you don't have a Wi-Fi connection.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 launched just three months ago, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that its latest update does not do anything except provide security fixes. Both the Flip 6 and Fold 6 come preloaded with Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 and will be updated to Android 15 and One UI 7.0 next year. They will get seven major Android OS upgrades in total.
