Advanced, Comprehensive Cancer Care

As home to two cancer centers, we provide our patients with expert, compassionate care and access to the latest cancer treatments and therapies.

Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only five National Cancer Institute Designated-Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York State and one of the first in the nation to earn this designation.

Weill Cornell Medicine Meyer Cancer Center is a preeminent research institution conducting innovative clinical trials that lead to novel cancer treatment and approaches.

We know cancer can affect many parts of your body. Our cancer specialists are here to help. We can pair our oncologists with cardiologists, neurologists, therapists, and other specialists to design a plan with you at the center.

Personalized, comprehensive cancer care services are available near you in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, and  Hudson Valley.

Our approach to care

We use a multidisciplinary approach to cancer support, which means we bring together clinicians from different specialties and departments to ensure that you receive care for your whole body and mind, not just your cancer.

Our adult and pediatric patients can access the latest anti-cancer drugs, novel and targeted therapies, emerging minimally invasive surgical procedures, and clinical trials.

Our numerous programs help to manage cancer’s emotional and physical challenges and will partner with you and your loved ones to create a treatment plan that works for you.

A patient-centered approach to a complex cancer case

Patient Kiley Durham survived her initial diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer but then the cancer spread to her brain, and later to her cerebrospinal fluid. A multidisciplinary team, determined to preserve her quality of life as a young mother and wife, worked together to manage Kiley’s medical care by thinking outside of the typical playbook. See how NewYork-Prebyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine physicians, Dr. Tessa Cigler, medical oncologist, and Dr. John Ng, radiation oncologist, approached this complex case to deliver a successful outcome.

“My doctors kept saying, let’s figure this out together.”

Kiley, mother of two, wife, and artist, fought breast cancer, brain cancer, and a rare complication where the cancer spread to the membranes of her brain and spinal cord. But Kiley's "dream team" of NewYork-Presbyterian doctors worked together to give Kiley every possible solution to each of her medical needs. Today, she is cancer-free and doing what she loves with the people she loves.
