NDSS Symposium 2024

The Network and Distributed System Security (NDSS) Symposium 2024 took place from 26 February–1 March 2024 in San Diego, California.

Over 600 leading academics, industry researchers, and security practitioners from around the world gathered in San Diego, California, for the 31st edition of the Network and Distributed System Security Symposium (NDSS) to discuss the latest research and developments in Internet security research.

The five-day event started with keynote presentations from Meredith Whittaker (Signal), who gave a timely opening talk on AI and encryption, looking at the connections between where we are now and how we got here. Professor Herbert Bos (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) discussed memory corruption, relating his own academic infosec research to some activities that occur outside academia but may look surprisingly similar.

The week continued with 140 paper presentations in three parallel sessions and 33 poster presentations. Alongside the main symposium, eight co-located workshops and symposia were held, and almost 100 additional papers were presented during these events.
