The booming #vanlife trend has attracted hundreds of individuals across the UK, with some being forced into the lifestyle by the cost-of-living crisis, while others just enjoying the liberty of life on the open road.

However, according to full-time van dweller Kate, who shares her unconventional lifestyle on the Van Lifer UK YouTube channel, she's "the only real Van Lifer in this country."

She points out that unlike most other van life bloggers, she doesn't have any form of legal permanent address, not even a PO Box. While most of us would view this as a significant disadvantage, Kate sees it as her unique strength.

She explains: “I can get caught speeding, they can't do anything. They drop the charges after a little while. The law in this country is f****d,” she adds. They aren’t going to bother about a speeding fine. I’ve had three – all gone.”

Kate also scoffs at parking fines: “Tesco car park – maximum stay 90 minutes– I can stay all day long, it doesn't matter. I can get as many parking fines as I want, it doesn’t matter.” reports the Daily Star.

Kate has no regard for the rules and regulations that the rest of us abide by, stating: ""I'm 52 I've been a criminal ever since I was 10. I'm not going to retire anytime soon."

She's reluctant to explain exactly how she navigates motor insurance, simply stating that she is "breaking the law in a legit way."

Kate dismisses the idea of "Nomad Insurance," arguing that even with such policies, holders are still required to provide a working postal address to sign up.She boasts of devising a unique system that allows her to "break all the rules, all the laws, but yet it's all legit. "

Kate asserts she's "fully covered" in case of an accident, though she doesn't insure her vehicle conventionally. Her insurance details list "a magic one" as the address, she reveals, crediting her former partner, a magistrate, for teaching her crucial legal loopholes.

Kate considers her method a valuable secret, claiming: "If I taught everyone this I would be a millionaire how to do it," and is willing to share her secret for a substantial donation.
