Emily Atack is seemingly looking to begin a fresh chapter online ahead of becoming a mother, with the pregnant star wiping a stream of photos from her social media pages.

The mum-to-be, who admitted to feeling "overwhelmed" on Wednesday, is down to just 11 pictures on her official Instagram grid now as she prepares to enter her "mum era", after years of posting numerous candid snaps on the picture-sharing app with her 1.9million.

One of the posts removed from Emily's Instagram page is her heartbreaking tribute to her "Uncle Steve", who passed away last year. It's thought Steven Garner, who is the father of Emily's baby daddy Dr Alistair Garner, was married to The Inbetweeners star's aunt Jane Garner.

Jane, who is Emily's mother Kate Robbins' sister, tied the knot to Stephen in 1994, becoming Alistair's step-mother when he was around eight-years-old. Emily isn't related to her late uncle or Alistair by blood, only marriage.

Emily announced Stephen's death in a now-deleted post on Instagram in July last year. Posting snaps of herself with her late loved ones, Emily told her followers: "It breaks my heart to say on Friday we lost my beautiful uncle Steve. I often shared photos and stories with you all on here about him because I simply adored him.

"Everybody did. The smartest and funniest soul you could ever wish to have in your company. Always sharing his talents and love for music, cooking, hiking and writing. He appreciated every single day he was here, his zest and enthusiasm for life was infectious. I am truly blessed and honoured to have some of my most treasured memories with you Uncle Steve aka ‘Uncle Beef’, The Mountain Man. The light of our lives. I love you so much and I will miss you beyond belief. May you live on through the music and the mountains. Rest easy my wonderful Uncle Beef."

Emily, who is about five months pregnant, and scientist Alistair have known each other for around three decades. Nuclear scientist Alistair even appears in some family photos. He was seen in a snap surrounded by Emily's relatives in 2017, with his arm around his girlfriend's sister Martha. The caption reportedly read: "He's just one of the girls really."

"Emily and Alistair have grown close over the past 12 months," a source told MailOnline. "It was unexpected but their family is delighted for them. They make a great couple and everybody is excited for their new arrival." The Mirror has reached out to Emily's representatives for comment.

Kate, Emily's mum, shared her joy about becoming a grandma after Emily announced she's expecting her first child over the weekend. On Instagram, Kate, who has appeared in shows like Crossroads, The Couple Next Door and Silent Witness, said: "My baby having a baby. Could not be more thrilled if I tried."

Emily has been spotted with Dr Alistair since September, looking cosy together during a day out in London. A source said at the time: "She had a cocktail and Alistair ordered a beer. Emily looked to be having a great time and couldn't stop smiling. When they left they were holding hands."

Dr Alistair, a scientist from the University of Manchester, is a whiz in materials science and works at a cool company focused on keeping our planet green. He's a big deal there, helping out as a Senior Consultant.

Over the weekend, Emily shared her exciting baby news on Instagram, posting a cute pic of her bump. She told her fans on Instagram: "Hello Everyone, it's been a little while but I'm back with some news. I'm delighted to share with you all that we're having a baby!! I've never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time."

She added: "Please go easy on me. Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting - a bit like when you've just stepped off of the Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover. I've got to know my body on such an insane level. It's made me appreciate the one I've been given SO much, I'm doing my absolute best to make it a home for the little squid I'm growing. We can already sense the baby is reclined on a mattress of peanut butter and jam sandwiches in there, demanding more chocolate buttons. I'm so happy to be writing all of this to you all. You've always stuck by me through the years, do stick around to watch me enter my mum era. Christ. Let's go."

On Wednesday, as news of how long Emily has known her future baby daddy broke, the actress, 34, took to Instagram to break her silence and thank her followers for their support. Captioning a snap of her growing bump with a mug nestled on it, Emily wrote: "Overwhelmed by all the messages of support, thank you. I'm stuck at home and very sick. So your kind messages really do cheer me up. So do M&S ginger biscuits, turns out."
