This week saw the publication of Lisa Marie Presley's posthumous autobiography, From Here to the Great Unknown, released by her daughter Riley Keough.

Elvis Presley's only offspring, who tragically passed away last year at the age of 54, provides a heart-breaking narrative of her father's premature death when she was merely nine years old. For a period of four and a half years, the King of Rock and Roll was in a relationship with Linda Thompson, who resided at Graceland with him and Lisa Marie.

Now, the 74-year-old former flame of the King of Rock n Roll has shared some poignant photos of the trio from the early Seventies on social media. The ex-Miss Tennessee model also expressed admiration for Lisa Marie's newly published memoir, which speaks fondly of her, reports the Express. Linda captioned her Instagram post: "Just starting to read From Here to the Great Unknown by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keogh. Lisa Marie was only nine years old when her beloved daddy tragically died.

"Cognizant memory doesn't actually begin until about four years old, so each treasured memory she could recall about her father becomes even more special. It means everything to me that Elvis closed his eyes and took his last breath with the knowledge that I truly loved him... And that Lisa Marie also felt that assurance in her heart- that my love for her and her daddy was real, pure, and unconditional. The way we make others feel seen, loved and valued for who they are is everything. I am grateful for those years of living with and loving Elvis and Lisa Marie."

In Lisa Marie's newly-published posthumous memoir, it was claimed that she'd kept her son's body on dry ice in a separate part of her house. She had been left devastated when Benjamin took his own life in 2020 at the age of 27 Despite the news of her keeping his body causing a stir, Riley, who starred on Daisy Jones and the Six, insisted her mum would have just ignored the comments. She told People magazine: "If my mom were here, she'd be like, 'Yeah, whatever. I don't care. If people think that's crazy, they can go f*** themselves.' " Riley explained Lisa Marie made the decision so Benjamin was "in her control" amid a time of uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She added: "The truth is that it was COVID and the plans to bury him were really unclear. We needed to get to Graceland, and it was really hard because it was COVID, and we didn't know who was going to come, so there was a lot of planning that needed to happen. She didn't want his body to be somewhere where people could mess with it."
