Amanda Holden unveils first ever tattoo - and her husband Chris Hughes hates it

Amanda Holden has revealed her first ever tattoo - and her husband is not impressed.

The mum-of-two, 53, showed off the ink on her Heart Breakfast show this morning as she proudly flashed two tiny hearts on the inside of her wrist.

Explaining that she decided to get the tattoo on a whim while she was in Hollywood for Halloween with her daughter Holly and best friend, Jane, Amanda said she was delighted with the results.

However, when she got back home and knocked up a roast dinner for her other daughter, Lexi, while pretending to mop her brow, hubby, Chris Hughes, clocked the tattoo and was distinctly unimpressed.

Amanda explained: "Obviously, my 18-year-old is home, I made a roast dinner. I was pretending to mop my brow because my tattoo is actually just on my wrist. Because, you know, I was sort of slaving over a stove as I was talking to Chris. I had my hand like that, just nothing. Anyway, Holly was losing her mind because she was obviously present for the tattoo moment, which didn't hurt and took less than 30 seconds. Anyway, in the end, we told Chris.

"First, he would say, it looks fake. Second, he said it looks naff. And third, he said: 'Oh, what's going to happen next? Where else are you going to get one? What else are you going to do?'"

Explaining the two hearts represent her daughters, Hollie and Lexi, Amanda said she was also going to get another little heart underneath her tattoo, presumably to represent her husband.

Chris recently issued his glamorous wife with a warning, telling her "you've got to stop" after she confessed to a controversial move. Amanda admitted she had already completed her Christmas shopping in October, with the final parcel set to drop through her door on Wednesday. And while the Britain's Got Talent judge seemed delighted by the news on her breakfast show, her husband Chris is apparently less enthusiastic.

She told listeners her home now contained "so many packages" as her festive shopping arrived. Amanda's confession came as caller Ashley revealed she was "so excited" when she spotted her first Christmas tree of winter 2024 while stuck in traffic on Old Kent Road in London.

That prompted Amanda to reveal: "Everything's going up in my house on November 15. I might go even earlier. And I've finished my Christmas shopping. That's what I told my husband because there's so many packages in my house, he's like 'gosh Mandy, you've got to stop, you're haemorrhaging'. "And I went: 'I've finished my Christmas shopping' and I looked him in the eye when I said it. I've done, I've basically nearly finished it."

Amanda and music producer Chris have been together since 2004, having met in Los Angeles a year earlier. They tied the knot in 2008 and share their luxury Surrey mansion with their two daughters.
