UPDATE:Â Last month, the sister of local country music artist, Kane Brown was stabbed on Dodds Avenue.Â
Heidi Swafford, 19, was stabbed multiple times including the neck during a fight with a friend. Swafford's injuries were non-life threatening, but could have permanent nerve damage.Â
CPD arrested a 16-year old female and has charged her with Attempted Second Degree Murder, and Aggravated Assault.Â
PREVIOUS STORY:Â The sister of local country music artist, Kane Brown, is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed in a fight.
A fight between two women sent one of them, Heidi Swafford, 19, Â to the hospital this afternoon with multiple stab wounds.
It happened in the 3300 block of Woodside Street off Dodds Avenue around 4:30 pm.
Chattanooga police spokesman Kyle Miller says the victim was stabbed in the neck and shoulder during a fight with another woman.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but may have permanent nerve damage.Â

CPD has warrants to arrest a female juvenile and that has been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.Â
It is unknown what led to the argument.
Swafford's mother, Roxanne Dodson, said she is hopeful she will make a full recovery.
"She's going to be alright, she will make it, I mean she has nerve damage but with time maybe that will heal up," Dodson said.
Kane Brown took to social media to express his frustrations about the attack on his sister.Â
