'I've visited every country in the world and this is my favourite city'
You can fly to the city direct from John Lennon Airport
Drew Binsky has spent the last 12 years globetrotting, so he knows a thing or two about travel. The YouTuber has reportedly visited every country in the world, but his favourite city is a popular stag-do destination that you can fly to direct from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The Czech capital, Prague, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, drawing thousands of tourists every year for its stunning architecture, fascinating history and affordable nights out. After moving to Prague from his native US for a study year abroad in 2012, Drew said the city was the place that first "kicked off my travel bug", reports the Express.
On seeing Prague, it was love at first sight for Drew. "I just fell in love with Czech culture straight off the bat," he said. "It's eastern Europe but it's encroaching on the west, so you have kind of a little bit of both. But, it's grungy, amazing people, nightlife is great, beer is cheaper than water."
Drew also pointed out the benefits of the country's geography, which allows for easy travelling between countries. Czechia is situated between Germany, Poland, Austria and Slovakia.
He added: "It's a really cool starting point in Europe, because it's very affordable in Prague, way cheaper than western Europe. It's in the centre of the continent so you can easily take a bus to Berlin or to Munich or anywhere else to get around." With it being relatively small for a capital city, he said it is the perfect size to take in all of the tourist attractions on foot.
Drew said: "And Prague is just so small that you can walk the whole city, there's a lot of things to do there, you have Old Town Square, John Lennon Wall, you have one of the oldest castles in the world, you have small little districts and corners that are beautiful, with cute cafes and medieval buildings." Easyjet started flying to Prague from John Lennon Airport earlier this month. The flight time is two hours and prices start at £21.99.
