⭐ Employee Spotlight: Rachel Ross, RD, LDN, CDCES, RPM Customer Success Manager ⭐ Rachel Ross plays a pivotal role at Withings Health Solutions as a Customer Success Manager for WithingsRPM. Rachel partners with healthcare providers to ensure they have the resources and confidence needed to implement their RPM programs. Drawing on her extensive experience as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, Rachel brings a unique perspective that bridges the needs of both healthcare providers and patients, driving impactful outcomes in care delivery. Read more to learn about Rachel and our RPM Customer Success Team. Q: What makes Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) so important in healthcare today? Rachel: Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) bridges the gaps between doctor visits by delivering continuous health data, offering providers a comprehensive view of a patient’s condition. When patients visit a doctor, the data collected is often limited to a few points, like blood pressure or weight, leaving much of their health journey unmonitored. With RPM, we provide continuous data that allows healthcare providers to make informed decisions faster and more effectively. Helping reduce delays in treatment, often referred to as "clinical inertia," and ensures patients receive the care they need when they need it. Q: How has your background as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator influenced your work? Rachel: With nearly a decade of experience as a healthcare provider, my background as a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator has significantly influenced my approach to this role. I have extensive experience using connected devices to support patients, which has deepened my understanding of the power of data and technology in enhancing patient care. I take great pride in supporting healthcare providers and enabling them to focus on what they do best, delivering exceptional care to their patients. Q: What excites you most about working in this field? Rachel: The ability to connect with healthcare providers, support their goals, and ultimately see the real-world impact of RPM on patients’ lives. It’s fulfilling to know we’re not just helping providers but also improving health outcomes for people every day. Q: How have you seen real-life, positive impact from your work? Rachel: I love watching some of our larger health systems start small and then rapidly grow their programs. Seeing that growth, coupled with their satisfaction with WithingsRPM, is so fulfilling. It’s great to know that the tools and support we provide are helping them make a difference. Did you know that sleep disturbances can appear before a dementia diagnosis? A study by Imperial College London and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust compared the sleep patterns of people with dementia to the general population using the under-the-mattress Withings Sleep Mat. Researchers analyzed 4 sets of 30-day sleep data for each participant with dementia and compared it to a general population dataset with over 14,000 nights of sleep data dating back to 2018. The study revealed distinctive sleep patterns in individuals with dementia, highlighting the potential of long-term sleep monitoring to aid in the early diagnosis and management of cognitive impairments. Unlike lab-based studies relying on single-night data, this research captured everyday sleep behaviors for deeper insights.
