About us
SANS Cloud Security focuses the deep resources of SANS on the growing threats to the cloud by providing training, certification, research, and community initiatives to help security professionals build, deploy and manage secure cloud infrastructure, platforms, and applications. SANS Cloud Security provides intensive, hands-on training designed to help you and your staff master the practical steps necessary for defending your complex cloud environments against even the most advanced threats. The courses are full of important and immediately useful techniques that you can put to work as soon as you return to your office. They were developed through a consensus process involving industry leading engineers, architects, administrators, developers, security managers, and information security professionals, and address public cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud scenarios for the enterprise and developing organizations alike. Our Cloud Security certifications provide assurance that an individual has practical knowledge and skills in cloud security essentials (GCLD), web application security (GWEB), cloud security automation (GCSA), public cloud security (GPCS), cloud threat detection (GCTD), cloud security architecture (CCAD), cloud forensics (GCFR), and cloud penetration testing (GCPN), and more in the near future! The SANS Institute was established in 1989 as a cooperative research and education organization. Today, SANS teaches more than 14,000 application and network security practitioners each year. With well over 70,000 alumni and 165,000 community practitioners receiving SANS research and project information, SANS is the most trusted and by far the largest source for information security training and certification in the world.

Which is better, AWS or Azure? There are pros and cons with each. But Azure beats out AWS in the guardrail department. Azure Policy is much more capable than AWS Service Control Policies. 📜 Customized error messages 👍 AWS limits to 5 policies per OU vs Azure's 500 ⚙️ Build remediations into the policy itself AWS's new Declarative Policy is a step in the right direction, but there is a lot to catch up on.
