If mould is building up inside your building, it could be due to excess moisture as a result of poor ventilation. Without proper air circulation, mould can continue to grow which will not only damage the structure of your building, but can cause serious health risks. Did you know that Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are chemicals produced from paint or using heat appliances, an its fumes can enter our body? This can also occur in any type of building. If you haven't yet, consider a ventilation solution to maintain healthy air circulation and reduce pollution. How do you improve air quality in houses? 1. Ventilation Sufficient ventilation is essential in removing indoor pollutants. Ensure that your home has adequate ventilation, such as opening windows regularly or using extractor fans in kitchens and bathrooms. To ensure good air quality, it is important to have a well-designed ventilation system that brings in fresh air and removes stale air. ➡️ This can be achieved through mechanical ventilation systems or through natural ventilation strategies such as operable windows or trickle vents. It is also important to have proper design and use of re-circulating systems. ➡️ This avoids cross contamination from high-risk areas (kitchens, toilets, bathrooms). This fact sheet produced by the FETA IAQ Group focuses on the link between improving energy efficiency and indoor air quality, and the importance of energy efficiency in our buildings: https://lnkd.in/et3fqA4G Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) #ventilationsystem

An air ventilation system will move around humid air creating fresh air circulation. This will cool down warm air hitting the cold window glass, preventing condensation whilst maintaining optimum indoor temperature. Invest in a ventilation system to create a more comfortable indoor environment. Due to the colder environment, naturally the heating will be switched on inside buildings. However, this increases the risk of growing mould. An efficient ventilation system can absorb growing mould, moisture, and prevent condensation.
