In IMMEDIATE, we are conducting a proof of concept study to investigate the effects of the postbiotic Akkermansia muciniphila on stress. The study is led by Karolina Skonieczna-Żydecka and her team at Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin who prepared the video about it. 🚨 Missed the 1st GlycanTrigger Patients Symposium yesterday? 🎥 You can watch the full event on Youtube: https://lnkd.in/g3GVACCh Catch inspiring stories, expert insights, and engaging discussions! 💡
📣 Yesterday, at the first GlycanTrigger Patients Symposium, we explored research showing that IBD can often be predicted years before diagnosis. This raises vital questions about understanding the sequence of events leading to the disease. By better framing the different stages of risk, we can work toward tailored preventive strategies—ones that could truly modify the disease course and outcomes. Imagine the impact of detecting IBD early, or even preventing it altogether! 🙌 Maria Cândida Cruz, Vice President of APDI - Associação Portuguesa da Doença Inflamatória do Intestino, Filipa Cunha, APDI board and EFCCA Youth Group, as well as Olivera Culibrk (Serbia) and Alexandra Roventa (Romania) shared personal and insightful perspectives on how an IBD diagnosis has impacted their lives and highlighted the importance of empowering people with IBD to navigate their journeys. Many other speakers provided great input and with around 50 patients and patient representatives in attendance, the symposium offered fascinating insights and plenty of food for thought. Collaborative efforts across research and healthcare are more crucial than ever to turn this knowledge into action. Let’s work together to shape a future where prevention is possible. 💡 💻 Watch the full symposium here: https://lnkd.in/g3GVACCh
